    I guess there isn't something like next seat and previous seat, is it?
    Usually I use my mouse wheel to switch weapons, but when I'm in a vehicle that has some seats, I wish I could use my mouse wheel.
    Does anyone have an idea how to realise it?
    I could use "1 = mouse wheel down"; "2 = mouse wheel up".
    It would work but then I wouldn't be able to switch my weapons the way I did.

    Okay, I just made this:

    Since I barely use the scroll for changing weapons, it can be used for something else.
    (I've the most important weapons as separate mouse keys.)
    In this case I'll switch to the Hammer or Enforcer.
    If the Stinger and Flak are available, it automatically switches to them.

    At least I'm very satisfied that I now can switch seats in Tanks, Cicadas etc. very quickly.

    with this command u throw the weapon u have in your hand when press NumPadFive short. when u press it a lil longer it switches to the enforcer and on release of the key it throws the enforcer. so when u want to provide the enforcer to ur teammade u only need one key

    edit: there is a space between " and GBA_SwitchWeapon2 ... delete it when u want to use the command

    I'll tell you what:
    It doesn't matter if you hold it long or short pressed.
    OnRelease = command works as soon as you release the button.
    You hold it 2 seconds pressed, release it -> you'll throw this weapon after 2 seconds.
    You hold it some milliseconds pressed, release it -> no explanation needed.

    So, it should always throw away an Enforcer.

    wrong... u have to wait the time until the weapon is changed to enforcer... if u want to drop this

    Although I have never tried that, I can say something:
    A while ago one friend asked me if it's possible to double jump just by pressing one button one time.
    I tried to manage it the same way (command jump and onrelease jump).
    It worked but you must not release it very quickly.
    I guess UT3 is too slow to handle 2 commands within milliseconds.

    So I guess theoretically an Enforcer should always be thrown, but practically it's not the case since UT3 is "slow".
    (We are talking about milliseconds, that's why I added the "" )

    i can tell u the practicaly side, because i use this command since month...

    it throws the weapon, which u have in ur hand, when u press it fast
    it throws the enforcer, whne u press the key and wait the weaponswitchtime (when u release it then)

    Hey Nightmare.

    Do you have some practical commands for the scroll wheel button? Else you could use that one to switch between vehicle positions, or enforcer and hammer if you're not in a vehicle. By that way you can keep the scroll wheel to switch between ALL of your weapons, because if you have no ammo for your favorite weapons you may end up in trouble without the scroll wheel.

    That shot function is messed up by the way.

    Feign death is now left windows key^^

    I could try to use that way, but to be honest I'm already satisfied.
    The only thing I wish were to add the Hammer to 05.
    I tried it, but when I get in vehicles (or leave vehicles) I always wear the Hammer...
    And I almost never use the BioRifle, even if I needed it I could just press 3 on my keyboard.

    Well i was trying to make a camera that starts at third person view but moves to first when i mouse scroll. Is there a command to move to First person? Later I also want to set up a command to move it to an RTS view, again using mouse scroll...

    Are you making a mod? If so, the answer to your question is yes. I don't know how to do it though. Your question would be more appropriate in the mapping and modding section. You could also try asking the guys at www.ut3gow.com. They made a view distance mouse scrolling effect for ONS 2.0.

    I tried everything to use the keybindings, exactly the way sugested in this thread, but I just can't get them to work. Can somebody please help me?

    All the files from the CD are stored in D:\ .... \UTGame (plus subdirectories).
    Whereas all my profiles, personal data, downloaded maps and mods are stored in C:\ ...\UTGame. (and subdirectories)

    For the key binding thing I made previously some tests and I discovered then something very interesting

    If I delete all my profiles plus everything under C:\ ... \UTGame (and subdirectories) -- in short: if I delete all my personal data from after the installation -- and then start up the game, and all my settings (keys, sound, brightness, .... ) are back as soon as I click "Login". (Note: Not if I click "Play Offline").

    From where is UT3 taking my profiles, if I deleted them on my hard disk?
    Is Epic storing them on a server?

    Lightbulb Am new to keybinding

    I have a question:
    I switch to the translocator by pressing Q but I also have to switch back to my previous weapon by pressing Q. For me as an UT99 and 2k4 player it's really frustrating because I can't get used to it.
    I want to make a keybind that switches from translocator back to the previous weapon by pressing Fire and AltFire at the same time (like in UT99 and UT2004). Is this possible (because Fire = LMB and AltFire = RMB, both are in use)?
    How would the command be then?? And what's with the Hoverboard then? Isn't it the same command?? I'm used to press Fire+AltFire when I have the translocator but I'm used to press Q to use the Hoverboard and Q again to walk. That sounds a bit odd, I know, but I only want the translocator to switch back to my previous weapon when I press Fire+AltFire not the Hoverboard
    I'm relative new to keybinding and this is confusing me a lot at the moment

    And another thing which doesn't seem to work is this keybind:

    Is it somehow possible to make a key binding with following action:
    Shot a shock core, side dodge, and then trigger the shock combo!

    There are also programmable keyboards from Logitech with things like macros (whatever this is) .... Doesnt matter how, but could such a thing be realized?

    Can anyone help me switch thumbsticks on the xbox 360 controller to Southpaw.

    I managed to switch them but instead of moving forward it moves backwards also instead of looking up it looks down but in game I was able to invert axis so that works fine.

    I know the ut3 tweaker has those settings but I cant launch the tweaker tool under steam eventhough I chose the right file path.

    When you say chose the right path you 'chose Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame\Config' or did you go with the path in your steamapps
    folder?

    The correct path has nothing to do with steam. Also you should be able to manually edit your UTinput.ini file located in the first path above.

    Finally if you are playing offline then a gamepad works fine I guess. Trying to use a gamepad online and you're going to be at a huge disadvantage. Keyboard and mouse is the only way to play the game and hope to be competitive with other players. UT3 on the PC is simply too fast for a gamepad.
    Add random54 on xfire, x54 on steam, or rand54 on raptr for UT3 tips, tricks, tweaks, and troubleshooting.
    Get WREX anti cheat client to join WREX protected servers.

    Yep I even tried moving the UT3 folder from steam to C:\Programms but it wont launch, it says Cannot open file UTengine.ini I also tried setting the path to Config instead with no luck.

    I was able to switch thumbsticks thru the UTInput.ini file but the movement is wrong instead of moving forward it moves backwards same thing with looking, it looks down instead of up but in game I fixed that by selecting invert axis so my only issue is getting movement to MoveForward maybe someone can help me fix that as im a total newb when it comes to this sorta thing.

    the solution is easy: the key-bindings for BTA is in the same ini-file, but in a later section, you will find it easily. if not write me a pm.

    glad to see this is a pretty live thread. OK so i got this working and its great right? but what i'm wondering is, how do you bind a SOUND in ut3??? Like you know, you press the X key and it plays matrix's voice saying "next time, do better". is it possible to bind THAT to a key???

    I have 2 small questions from 2 ut2k4 mates.
    1) One was asking if it was possible to set secondary fire link to LMB for link only (in other words, u use link beam with left mouse button instead of Rmb, and ofc standard for everyother weapons
    2) The second was asking to bind 3 weapons to a pipeswitch bind. While searching an answer to this very info, i found this post ofc and saw the answer of bclagge:

    So someone tested this config already (3 weapons pipeswitchable)? Also if i got it correctly, u can't literally "alternate" weapon in ut3 right? If u pipeswitch rox and flak and if u have both of them; even if u press twice the key it will stay on the highest priority weapon right (that's a bit stupid though)?

    Sadly half of the time I use the Throw Weapon bind in ut3, I crash maybe I am using a bad key (I use NumPadOne) but idk...

    Don't pick up your own dropped Avril, that will crash you every time.

    Hi i did some binding and i have one problem. FOV does not worke online. instant action, no problem. same sets and in online it does nothing. here is how it looks like:

    Bindings=(Name="ThumbMouseButton2",Command="FOV 100 | setsensitivity 10.0")
    Bindings=(Name="ThumbMouseButton",Command="GBA_Swi tchWeapon9 | FOV 10 | setsensitivity 7.0")

    it is in: [Engine.PlayerInput]
