Gears of War Collectibles; Series 3 onwards...

Okay so let me get this straight, Series three is going to consist of the following?

-COG soldier (Looks like Ben Carmine)
-Palace Guard
-Cyclops
-Grappler
-The Lt.Kim and RAAM two-pack
-The Marcus sawing a Drone (That just came out)

Please tell me if this is all correct and if I'm wrong then post an edited list like mine please.

EDIT: I keep hearing that the release date is going to be this spring. If there are any updates on the release date, please post.

You left out the new Marcus figure. He has a new head and a new Lancer. Besides that, your list is correct.
It seems Marcus vs. Drone and Kim Vs. RAAM are sort of in their own category and not technically part of wave 3. They seem to be scheduled for release at different times.
The Marcus vs. Drone 2-pack is available now in some places, RAAM vs. KIM has an ETA of April, and wave 3 is due to hit later this month.

I heard that the new Marcus is going to be 12 inches tall with lights. No, I'm not talking about the 12 inch talking one.

Are you sure Series three is coming out this month? Could you post a source, because I keep on hearing spring so that makes me think of March or April release dates.

There will be a new 12-inch Marcus with lights instead of voicebox. It's separate from the next wave of action figures and I'm not aware of a release date for it.
The Marcus included in Wave 3 will have a new head sculpt with a more fierce facial expression and re-sculpted Lancer. Every wave will likely include a Marcus variant.
Big Bad Toy Store, which is almost always reliable (I've never known of it to be incorrect, but there's always a chance) lists wave 3 as January. NECA has also given January (when they release the images of the new figures they also provide a small write-up, which lists January as the release date).

Version 2 of the 12" Marcus is scheduled for April. If this offering does well, Randy said that Dom could be down the pipe. He was very hesitant on Cole and Baird though.

W007. It arrived today.

After the reports of the new Marcus sculpt (added articulation) being fragile, I'm being careful with him.

The blood spatter comes in two pieces, one is attached to the Locust but the other came loose as I took them out of the packaging. Not sure where it's supposed to hook in but it doesn't look broken anywhere. I've hooked part of the spatter between the barrel and the chainsaw top and it's holding on well enough with the blade in the chainsaw wound.

The new HB and Lancer look good, though the blade on the Lancer is a little bent (not an issue, really since it's largely covered by the blood,) and both now have removable pegs that allow them to be pegged, McFarlane Halo3-line style, to their backs, which is neat and means I don't have to use mounting tape anymore (except on the Snub, which doesn't have a peg---forgivable given the fairly small size of the Snub.)
The sighting bar on the top of the HB2 seems a little loose, so hold it by the main body when pressing it into someone's hand. Drone can hold it in his bare-arm hand while being sawed. Can probably hold it by the front hand grip as well, but its' wider than the spread of his finger tips on the armored hand so I haven't coerced it in yet.
Cut joints above each knee help with wider stances more appropriate to being chainsawed.

The chainsaw gash isn't as impressive as I had hoped, but it works, and it's nicely tattered. The Drone scuplt hasn't changed much other than the new head and the chainsaw wound, although the articulation seems a little easier to move.

I want to see a picture of the CoG Solider before I pre-order. I know they will sale like hot pancakes. Kim and Ramm doesn't impress me that much and I already got a 12 inch Marcus. I am really hoping Hoffman or Tai gets their own Action figure

The so called "COG soldier" looks exactly, 100% like Ben Carmine. So why not just call it Ben Carmine, because they can't release a Ben Carmine if they happen to call this "COG soldier".

Possibly. There's also the possibility of a Ben Carmine SDCC exclusive, maybe with different articulation / weapons (like Longshot instead of Gnasher). It's not been announced, but it's always a possibility. Maybe the Carmines will be exclusives.

How is it a scam? SDCC A. Carmine is the exact same figure with different articulation and a different helmet. Different articulation and a new weapon isn't any different.

It would be basically the same figure sold twice so in that respect, I agree.
A few years ago NECA had a SDCC exclusive Leonidas from 300 figure that was nothing but a slight repaint of an old figure with tiny arrows added to his base and shield.
Most exclusives are just tweaks or repaints to pre-existing figures. I wouldn't be surprised at all if B. Carmine is an exclusive with an "improved" paint job, added articulation and a Longshot instead of Lancer.

I also think one of the big reasons A. Carmine is such a hit is because he was so unique at the time of his release. But since then we've had Baird, the COG Soldier and Kim to use the exact same body and accessories.

They've said they're selling him as an "army builder" like the Locust Drone. Somone that people may buy a few of them, whereas if he were sold as a specific character, people may be less inclined to buy more than one of him.

Toki says January, but since January is almost over, I doubt I would expect anything until February.

Yeah, they've been listed as January since they were announced but that doesn't look likely. It should be within the next month, though. Action figures rarely have a strict release date, unfortunately.

NECA just let cat cat out of the bag the COG soldier comes with a Lancer and Longshot.

They're releaseing Ben as a COG soldier to help sell him as an army builder, instead of a specific character that people might be less inclined to buy multiple of.

They have a RAAM set to release in a two pack with Lt. Kim. They are takein preorders at toyrocket.com as well as bigbadtoystore.com. I think he is around $25 to $29. Might be little off on the price. The two pack is set to release in April.

I think that may be true as well. There is still a chance he may be larger, though. When the figures are sculpted, they're much larger, in the 12 to 15 inch range. They are then scaled down to 7 inches. It's possible, though he's a repaint with a new head, they may have scaled him to 8 inches instead. Here's hoping.

I like the Cyclops he is awsome. I want NECA to make a Kantus now. That would kicka**. RAAM and LT. Kim is a awsome two pack. From what I have seen and read RAAm will have his Knife as well as a Trika. Kim will have a Lancer and Gnasher. I am giving Kim My Hammer Of Dawn.

The cyclops rules, ive already made the griphole bigger on a couple of spare lancers so they can hold them. on the subject of boomers a "fuel tank shot flame-boomer" would make an awesome c-con exclusive. And the skorge and hydra 2 pack is a brilliant idea, only correctly scaled though. Lets hope the brumak gets released on that scale
