Forget the weapons and the glitches is anyone really disappointed with the maps?
I know I am. Some of the weapon placement doesn't make any sense at all. Pavillion for example having a mortar in the cage is beyond retarded. Basically its a rush to whichever team presses the button first wins the round or gets a lucky smoke to stun the dude from the other team running to the button. Having the cage lockout the other side means in Execution game types he can just run in pick it up and get downed and not have to worry because you can't kill him without going back up the stairs and running to the otherside of the map or using a nade. It's retarded. The mortar is overpowered and shouldn't be in any map but I'm not even complaining about that placing any power weapon in there would be dumb as well. Obviously grenades at spawns (Pavillion and Blood Drive mainly) is obviously an extremely poor decision as it promotes camping and gives each team a fast respawning power weapon. There are many others but just the maps are really really terrible. Obviously the maps with the environmental hazards aren't very good as dying by any other reason then the enemy is dumb. The maps that are designed well have horrific weapon placement. Playing customs competitively is the solution to this problem of course but I wish it was like Gears 1 where the maps were basically the same for competitive and ranked play so if I got bored of customs I can just beat up on some ranked kids in relatively the same map. I feel now the ranked maps are almost unplayable outside of a few and that's upsetting to a long time Gears fan.
visually theyre REALLY disappointing ... gameplaywise some are ok ... specially for modes like guardian and horde
