    Compatability: UT3

    Description: HyperUnreal2k4 offers the possibility to tweak most movement abilities of the players, and some other options about weapons. The default tweaks make the game a bit faster, more UT2004-like. It also brings back adrenaline and combos from UT2004.
    The mutator is configurable from the UT3 mutators menu.
    It is possible for scripters to create their own combos. See the sources included for this. As said in HU_ComboBase, don't forget to add any custom combo manually in the mutator's known combos.
    Combos:
    Booster. Slightly increases your health, and then your shield if health is at maximum.
    Moves: Backward 4 times
    Speed. Makes you much faster. Increases your jumping height too.
    Moves: Forward 4 times
    Berserk. Increases your shooting rate.
    Moves: Forward 2 times, backward 2 times
    Invisibility. Turns you invisible.
    Moves: Rightward 2 times, Leftward 2 times

    How to install: Extract the UTGame Folder to your...\My documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3\ folder

    Important notes:
    Tested online. The adrenaline feature doesn't work in multiplayer, sorry for that.(will be fixed in v3.0
    Bot support, also for adrenaline and combos (though they're not very strategic, mostly use Booster).
    Important: the combos use the default WSAD movement keys, and will not use your own bindings!! If you're not using these keys for movement, do the following:
    Open My docs\My Games\Unreal tournament 3\UTGame\Config\UTHyperUnreal2k4.ini (not UTHyperUnreal2k4_Cont.ini!!!)
    You should find the following in the end of the file:


    [HyperUnreal2k4.HU_Adrenalinteraction]
    ForwardKey=W
    BackwardKey=S
    LeftKey=A
    RightKey=D

    Thanks for the posative feedback
    it was requested by alot of unreal tournament 2004 players because the reason they still play that is because unreal tournament 3 lost the fun when it slowed down the rate of pace

    so they will now play ut3 because it plays like they enjoy.

    more feedback is welcome and ideas on how to make it better we are already planning to bring back adrenaline in the next version of hyperunreal2k4.

    wow i have to test this one, i hope this got the old feeling of the shock rifle

    EDIT:

    Tested and heres what i think, you got an excellent move feeling maybe i tiny bit fast but great, i think you should focus on the weapon feeling by now, heres some suggestions:

    1. dodgejump should be enable by default
    2. try to slowdown just a tiny bit the speed (i know its configurable but it will be better if we can get stuff working right from the beginning )
    3. the time between dodges should be a bit longer
    4. If it is possible you should tweak the weapons to make them ut2004 style (around the forums theres a mutator to make flak alt fire (ball) behave like 2004 maybe you can ask him for permission or something), also it will be nice to see stuff like :

    -enforcer fire like assault rifle (a higher fire rate but with less damage and the granade as alt fire)
    -tweak shock ball speed and beam fire rate
    -make the biorifle's alt fire dangerous for the one its shooting it, you know if you shoot to close of the enemy(i know maybe some people does not miss that )
    -improve shield function on impact hammer xD <--- i didnt reallize how much i appreciate the shield until i loose it
    -maybe modify the speed and distance of the teleporter
    -and maybe make the shock ball i little bit more sensitive to explode, ok maybe is just me but i feel that is harder to make a shock combo while moving in UT3 than 2004

    wel i belive thats all good job by now and hope to see adrenaline combos soon

    I'll be trying this one out for sure! Especially on that ut2k4 torlan someone made a while back

    If you do intend to do weapons later on i tried to make to the ut2k4 minigun, with its flaws seeing as im not a master coder, just a noob one .

    Im glad that everyone likes this mutator we should have a new version for it in a week or less or more lol

    V2.0 will include Adrenaline and some other tweaks we think will make ut3 run more like ut2k4

    I've only had a cursory look at it, but from what I saw ....WOW!! I loved it !
    it was as if some one had dropped off some alien technology from Alpha Centari !! LOL !

    I'd like to be able to shield jump like I used to. UT3 seems to have put quite a damper on that whole thing.

    Does anyone else sense that the shield jump feels way different?

    with UTIII you kinda hurt yourself too much hammer jumping plus the increased damage values make you an almost free kill.

    Still diggin this Mut! , just wanted to be able to tweak the .ini and I'm not
    familiar with your settings here;

    to compare to 2k4 say I wanted to change just the game speed to 1.5 x , so I just change the OverrideGroundSpeed line ? or all the movement associated lines as well? Thanks again !!

    Yes just change OverrideGroundSpeed=480.0 if you just want to walk faster if you wanted everything in the game to be faster you will have to increase all the lines values

    just try to increase the values evenly so it keeps game balance.

    I want to have weapon swith sounds from ut2004. Enforcer, stinger, rocket sound replaced, i could send u mastered samples ready to use.

    What i don't want it is BIO, ShockRiffle these r better than in previews.

    i would have posted screenshots but there was not much to show appart from the adrenaline indicator on the HUD and maybe the config menu for the mutator

    I am not having any luck with this mutator on my dedicated server. I realize you mentioned the adrenaline does not work but I can't get any aspect to work. Is there something special you need to do for a dedictated server?

    Ok i can see there are some problems

    Hypergames2k8 Lead scripter is away for the holidays and will be back in january that is when we will fix any problems

    Post any bugs you find and specific aspects that are not working
    and we will release a bug fixed v2.1 as we have other plans for the v3.0 release

    though from default i find it too speed....i m gonna load it on server but i ll try to be more familiar with the tool at first

    ...still missing the shield gun for the protection...and for the wall climbing ...lol...especially on large arenas

    That news truely saddens me because many of the complaints I hear about UT3 focus on the things that your mutator correct. Right or wrong many of the people that play on my server lament that the movement in UT3 is not what it was in UT2004. Was it that much better in UT2004? Probably not, just different. Your mutator works great for single player, so if v2.5 fixes the multiplayer issues then I guess that's all I could ask for. Thanks for your efforts and all those involved with you. I know I really like playing HyperUnreal2K4!

    Wow i did not realy think people liked the mutator maybe i was wrong but there is still only so much we can do with HU2K4.

    V2.5 Features
    Movement Multiplayer Capable
    Adrenaline Multiplayer Capable

    We shall aim to get this finished ASAP but there is always some new bug comeing up after ya fix another lol.

    So anyone that has tested and uses v2.0 if you find a bug report it to us so we can fix and be specific so we can pinpoint the issue thank you.

    I agree that there is only so much you can do. Indeed you could think of it as there is only so much you need to do. If online movement shows the same imporvement that your off line version does I think you could consider this one successfully finished. It's a subtle mod that makes the game more fun for more people. Again thanks for all the effort. If time allows I will fire up my server and try to do an online offline comparison and give you any feedback I find.

    Yay, hope you still wanna make this mutator its a great job as for now i only noticed the multiplayer issues hope you can do something about that

    Btw if you wanna look for some help in your project maybe you can contact the guys from ONS 2.0 they got the shieldgun already here

    mmm something that you should fix is the adrenaline bonus amount cuz i noticed sometimes i play a 25 frag deathmatch, i won the match i my adrenaline never fully fill

    I installed 2.0. When I bring up the config menu, there is no background. It's really unreadable for me like this.

    Think it was with this mutator where the config option for the amount of adrenaline gained per kill didn't work.

    Edit: It's working, must of messed up something else back then. Still getting the crash though when I try to go to main menu or change map.

    MasterB: Your not running mapmixer by any chance?
