How long did you wait in line?

Post how long you waited in line for GoW 2.

I was at my local GameStop at 8pm. I waited for four hours and was 3rd in line. People really didn't start showing up till about 10:30. Still there was not even a fourth of the people there that were at the Halo 3 launch. Disappointing.

I got their at about 11:30 and there were about 10 people ahead of me about 7 more came after me so i waited 30 or less.

I was in line at 8, 1st in line... and only 4 people showed up at my GameStop... woo hoo

hmm... 15 seconds maybe. But then, I was one of the last stragglers to arrive at the Toronto exclusive event, and a copy of the game wa in the bag they gave as swag when entering... then another minute or so until I had a controller in my hands playing the game

i qued from 10pm i get to the till by 00.15 and am told they dont have the special edition so i have to come back in the mornin at 9 and had to wait another 30 mins for the special edition wasabit annoyed but i led and said i didnt get a swag bag and got another one lol. But finally now i have my special edition.

Btw their was about 40 ppl in line at zavvi in central london i was about number 15 in line

I am not really a fan of lines...i went to the midnight madness but i didnt stick around for the line up...I just went to check things out. I went to a store called HMV the next morning...they usually only sell movies and music...but they recently started selling xbox games i went there at 9am...just walked in there was no line up at all...i grabbed the collectors and i headed out.

was kinda funny though...the girl there was holding a copy in her hands and then she looked up at me and she saw my eyes light up and she said "want one of these?" and i was like "YES PLEASE!"

No lines for me...

I went to the Blockbuster by my house, after I got off of work and check to make sure that I could still pick it up at midnight. The manager had told me a week earlier that I could pick up on thursday night @ midnight even if they weren't doing a midnight release. So I showed up @ 7:00 PM to make sure, cause places always screw you if you don't and well it was a good thing I did. I talked to the night manager and she said she was leaving @ 10:30 PM and there was no way she could sell it to me, I plead my case and the Store Manager was called, he is pretty cool guy I have talked to him before. He told her to sell it to me because there was no way I would be able to get it before Wednesday of the next week. I gave them a $1.07 for the rest of the game, it was already paid for within a dollar . They gave me the game and made me swear not to tell anyone that I got it from them early, to I ran out with my Game 5 hours early and avoided those lines. And I have to say, I don't miss the lines.

Showed up a my gamestop a little before ten. There was only about 5 other people there. Paid for my LE copy, then went to McDonald's for some coffee. There there was maybe 25-30 people waiting at my gamestop. Kind of disappointing, but sounds like a better turn out than a lot of people got.

I didn't have to wait at all. I bought the Amazon bundle and the game was delivered at 2pm on Thursday afternoon. Still waiting for my Lancer though....

I got there around 9:30 and waited in my car until around 10:00. I was first in line, and second out the door because they had three registers ringin' the games out and my guy was a little slow.

I didn't mine the two hour wait. The people there were pretty cool. The GameStop manager ordered pizza and brought out a couple slices for the ten or so of us that were there early.

Quite a few people turned out, probably around 30 to 40. I couldn't really tell because the line stretched from the front door, past Five Guys Burgers n Fries, Mattress Discounters, and around the corner I believe. That's a really good turnout considering there's at least three other GameStops within 10-15 minutes.

there wasnt any midnight laucners wherei was, and coudlnt travel to london! but i pre ordred L.E and got it 10 hours after midnight =]

Got in line about 11:30 and was number 17. Once it hit midnight it took maybe 10 min. and I was out of there with my game in hand. There was probably 25-30 people in line at my gamestop.

I got there around 11:45, there were maybe 10 or 15 in front of us, but those of us who preordered were given our games right away, but then one of the store clerks stood at the door and made sure nobody with the game left before midnight, so we all 'got it' at midnight.
