UPDATE: Six Okay has posted something about the "Every Tag Tells a Tale" on the website.

Issued to every Gear serving the Coalition of Ordered Governments, the COG Tag is a formidable piece of identification. These metal gears, worn on a chain, are sometimes all that's left to identify fallen comrades. Every COG Tag is imprinted with a unique ID code, the last words on the last day of a solider’s story. Since Emergence Day, thousands of COG Tags have been recovered from solitary pools of blood on battlefields throughout Sera.

The main thing is to find the page to enter the code. If this is anything like the Halo 3 ARG, the key is finding these entrances.

What I'm hoping is that the ID code is NOT from the COG TAG in the EuroGamer competition (which it's pointing towards). If it is, we just have to hope someone who cares will upload itm or we're screwed!

huh look at the eurogamer site at the bottom all it says is that you have to answer the question below to enter the competetion....and to log on the site to enter...then in the vidic right in the beginning cliff talks abou the scale of gears...and he says that every kid loves dinasaurs....

All you need to do is answer the question below. However, this time there's a bit of research involved, as you seemed to be getting the answers too quickly before. Simply watch the Gears of War 2 developer diary and pay attention. Good luck!

I don't think that's anything to do with it.. he's talking about the game. I think the viddoc was completely unrelated (bar for the small image of the EVERY TAG TELLS A TALE image)

Alright here's what I'm thinking. EuroGamer claims that there is more than meets the eye with this tag. Not only that, but there is the Horde public debut at E FOR ALL this weekend.

Maybe the tag from that competition will have some clues on it, PLUS, they will give some away at the event. Anyone going to E FOR ALL, find Six (he's going) and ask for one. It might be the thing to do. For now, I'm putting my money on that's the case.

And as SOON as you get one if that is the case, post everything on it here. And don't gloat too much.

hooligan can you find a good picture of the cog tag....something tells me that the highlighted letters in the blog.....is hinting towards highlight letters in " property of the coalition of ordered government" and could possibly be the code...

I already checked it, there is nothing on that one. I messed with all the color schemes, the only thing that didn't fight was the black dot for the hole. Someone photoshoped it in.

we need the one from the vid....thats where the competetion is leading us...and it is highly polished...lettering could show darker shading in the are ingrave deeper making it look highlighted...they sand blasted the other one as it looks maybe to prevent people form using the picture...to solve the code.
