However, i think gears of war would make an awesome film. but it just depends what company makes the film.

for example,

If its gonna be by DreamWorks, theres a possibility its gonna suck, i mean, they made shrek for f*** sake! come on! theres gonna be like 6 and i got bored just watching the first!

If its made by the same guys from 300 then its bound to rock! i loved 300!

I remember when he claimed that he was given a script for a Metal Gear Solid movie and Hideo Kojima even clarifying on his online (and still-running) radio show that he would never make a movie with Uwe Boll. (I found that quite funny.)

Cliff's the executive producer, and it looks like they're gathering a good crew, so I'm certainly going to see it when it comes out.

Hope it's not like Max Payne, Doom, or any of those stupid game movies. I haven't truly seen any good movie based on game, man. Hope this time epic will make a difference.

It's gonna be mad beast. It'd be better if they just used the UT3 engine to animate it then they can just use the original voice actors to do the parts.

Hell yeah Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children was pretty good imo... And damn I can't agree with all those actors for some reason... I feel like Domic Purcell should be Marcus. Terry Tate is perfect though.

Well. I think I'd prefer a CGI film but if it's with real actors it doesn't have to be bad. I liked the old Mortal Kombat movie. Yeah it was cheesy and it had a low budget. But this will have the guys behind Gears helping out and a large budget hopefully.

Cog's really aren't that buff it's mostly the armor that makes them look that way.

they probably made it bigger to make it look like they were the real characters. if youre in a war you do not want that much armor on you.

I think most of your picks are good, but I'd go with Randy Couture for Marcus. Heres a link of him with a Kangol cap. I know hes not an actor, but its kinda funny the Gears Of War 2 is sponsoring his next fight.

I agree that Randy Couture should play Marcus IF it is live action. Some of the special effects would just be better and flow more if it was done in CGI though. Look at Advent Children.
