    well, i just played this winter version,thx for adding another new cover spot.maybe add some snowfall next time?

    sometimes it gives some familiar feelings of that gears2 winter map,since no gear2 pc,maybe when gears2 out,u can make a similar redalert 2.0..

    I just played the winter version.. Its great. Just the same as the original beta but with snow. To be honest I actually prefered the original version but I'm not married to it. Good effort. Keep it up.

    Note: I intended that statement to sound far more complimentary than it did.. sorry..

    Oh btw.. If I extract the LANCE_SPAWNS.UPK file to \My Documents\My Games\Gears of War for Windows\WarGame\Published\CookedPC\Maps\CustomMaps , I get an ambiguous package error. If I move it up to \My Documents\My Games\Gears of War for Windows\WarGame\Published\CookedPC\ the error goes away. Any ideas on that?

    Well it's more complicated than just "Snow" added, the lightning got changed, some errors got fixed, new materials were made, ETC.

    I have no idea for the error you're getting.
    BTW Facade (Durod) and Sabek will get their own Day snow version as well. Orion will have a night time.
    If you liked the original then I recomend you stick the the beta versions.

    well, i suggest when 5 life is used, the map could automatic restart, or we have to reload the map again and again..
    and the enemy and ally spawn at the same spot seems no change, somtimes when a enemy spawn with a grenade launcher,he quickly shoot me dead before i can reaction, so annoying.i hope there's a way to solve this.......

    You reload the level, takes 5 seconds (At least, from here) and all the mess gets cleared up. What's the matter? :\
    Do you open it from the console? If you don't, then do it NOW.
    Reload last checkpoint work.

    Sabek is now here.



    EDIT: Orion will have some gameplay change as well as a night time. I'll re-work the entire lightning and change the cover for a more suitable experience.

    Then new levels will surface, keep in mind that you can convert your levels too.
    Would be nice to hear from the level designers here...

    agreed, currently only kantham the great did this work, other guys seems no interest in convert their maps, hope they can remake their mp maps to this type....

    So...this is actually playing TDM with bots? like they spawn, act dynamically and all the other crap *BOTS* do, right? Or am I too overhyped to fully understand what this is? lol :P

    it's pretty much exactly that. sometimes (very rarely juding by my experience) they act kinda stupid, like, a locust and a cog standing side by side shooting around corners but not realizing that there's an enemy right next to them.

    however, it's not kantham's fault. after all, i've had locust in single player that were standing still while i approached them fully exposed and i had all the time in the world to switch to the lancer and chainsaw them.

    so, i said it before but i'll say it again just because it's true - this has kept GoW PC alive for me because for some reason i can't play online properly and after finishing the single player like 4 times it's more fun when played again in co-op with a friend (which i have my 360 for). i just need to get some time to make my own lance map

    when gears 2 is out, 360 player will throw gears 1 away.

    but for pcgamer, what we only can do is still stick to gears1.so TDM could give some fun for pc...

    I say you should try it out. Sure, they act like the AI in the campaign, but they still deliver a challenge. It's not easy, and you have to still think about how you will approach them. In addition, the AI roadie run to get to cover, this sometimes recreate how a human player would play. But they don't do it too often.

    In other words, if you liked the campaign, you will love this.

    I don't believe I've seen them do that in the PC version campaign, but I saw it quite a bit on the 360. Is there a reason the developers got rid of it for the PC?

    I also got your message Kantham. School's been murdering me lately, but I'd like to find time to set my maps up for this gametype as well. It might not be for a while, but I just want you to know that I'm not just ignoring your PM.

    Actually the only one that does roadie run is Dom in the campaign. The locust AI's don't do it in any case. I do believe that they removed it because it was messy, they do in fact roadie run in a weird way no human players can do, but since they don't do it so often, it isn't really much an issue.

    BTW:
    The bots in the MP gamemodes for Gears2 dont look that impressive either(IMO). They look good for people like myself that only plays with AI but for people that usually play human vs human they arent that interesting.

    I just played Orion Final for about an hour.. and wow. Impressive. The night/winter theme works soooo well on this map. I love the sky with the stars and such. I love the new spawn with the big sci fi-ish looking door. Wow.. Great job. I was actually nade tagged by one of the bots for the first time. that doesn't happen often with these bots. Keep up the great work. I really haven't felt the need to play on live since these have come out so you know they are awsome.

    well, if gears 2 comes to pc with bot support multi map and also horde like these tdm maps,that would be great...but only a dream currently....

    hope kantham could make some factory style map in future......

    You have either 3 or 5 lives, when they empty, you have to reload last checkpoint.

    The idea was to give players a random weapon on start. I thought that concept was easy and simple, the AI weapon pickups were extremely faked, and they were quite a lot of management under Kismet.

    Not bad, It's a bit dark, it would be nice if we could actually hear the action without any music.
    I personally tried, and I miserably have no patience when it comes to the video editing.

    Obviously I can't be good at everything lol.
