Help with my gears disc !!

Right, i've got gears 360 and loved it so i bourght PC version, i installed it played it on vista and got rubbish fps so i put it away, now i've got XP again so i wanted to give it anouther go but i've lost my gears disc. i have the box, original key, i even made a copy of the program files before i wiped my vista, but now i can't install it or play. Is there anything i can do to get gears without rebuying. If i downloaded say an .iso file off the internet and then mounted it using Daemon Tools, would that be legal seeing as i actually bourght the game originally but lost it ??

sounds like you didnt have the hardware to run it so why blame Vista? the framerates are basically identical on both XP and Vista.

Btw i borrowed my friends disk installed it, used a no CD patch and guess what. According to FRAPS im gettin an extra 10-12 fps you ***. Vista sucks ass for gaming.
