GEARS OF WAR 2 CHAINSAW DUEL
They may have it set differently this time around, from what I have read it's longer this time around. But I don't recall by how much.
Achievement Unlocked: You Read This
Ya it probably has less chapters, but each one is longer tan the first Gears.

Damn man I should stop looking at this forum, just making me more impatient. Lol
Gears has 31 chapters. I don't think Gears 2 is 'twice as long' or is '10 hours longer'. This is just to get you hyped for the game. Even Mike Capps said something like 'The campaign is enjoyable. Hopefully people feel that it's longer than the first game, because a lot of gamers thought it was short'.
It's probably of the same length, give or take a few chapters.

What is with people being 'done with EPIC and Gears' these past few days?! We've already seen like 2 members (Kantham & Mr.Waffles A.K.A 'Phayte') leave the forums, because they are fed up with Gears and EPIC.
That's ridiculous. You can't just quit playing a game you enjoyed playing for nearly 2 years! The reasons they left was because EPIC aren't going to be developing a PC version of Gears 2. I mean, Cliff could change his mind, right? We could be seeing a PC Gears of War 2 in a years time, who knows?
Meh, it's still a stupid reason to quit playing Gears of War. Just get it on the 360 and shut up. The PC version wasn't exactly 'groundbreaking' in any way. Some people have said that it's the worst-tested PC game ever. It hardy runs, and if it does run, it still has a lot of bugs.

If its about the same length as the first Gears then I'm done with Epic and Gears
Hey, you know what might make you feel better is if you get Xbox LIVE and start playing MP matches. That's replay value for ya.

General Poor Behavior
You did the right thing. From what I've heard (and from the 1,000s of threads concerning the bugs back in November) Gears PC is not even worth stealing.

Nuh uh. Cliff said in a recent interview that their testers haven't been able to beat it quicker than the average time it took to beat Gears 1. There is no way it will be as short - I'd say it will easily be between 8-10 hours, though I wouldn't bet on any higher than that.
that going to be good then

No one knows how long each chapter is, so for all we know, it might be a good couple hours longer than the first gears.
Who really cares how long the story is as long as it's good. Let's face it it's going to be multiplayer that we're still playing 3 years from now.
It's not the size, it's how you use itor something like that.
Had to be said.
Losing faith in gamers/people, one forum rant at a time...
They're big ass battles. It will take awhile to beat each chapter. Let alone beat the 5 acts.
Oh, look who's with the "Meh" now
...we all go through it.

when i talked to Cliff at X08 he said the campaign was longer
i asked him how much longer and he just said "...longer"
That could mean anything. It could be 2 minutes longer, or it could be 8 hours longer.

There are plenty of things that I don't like what Epic is doing to Gears.

I hope its abit longer i loved the story mode to be honest the mansion part on insane was crazy
I know it's an obvious thing to say, but quality > quantity.
The single most important thing for me about the campaign and how much I'm going to enjoy it is the quality of the level design, not how long it is. Hell, Bioshock is technically longer than Call of Duty 4. But I've played Bioshock twice, whereas I've replayed Call of Duty 4 probably around four times (and I plan to play it more).
Good level design makes you want to play an encounter over and over again. Maybe this time you'll just rush, or maybe you'll hold onto that sniper ammo from the previous level to make it easier, or maybe you'll flank left or flank right. My only fear is that the setpieces will be too forgettable to be interesting the second time around, that's all.
