Invincible Meatshield?

Everyone has to have seen of the meatshield in action by now. So i assume that everyone knows that when you hold a meatshield it protects you from bullets, but after a certain amount of damage you eventually drop it or it blows up. Anyways i got to thinking and i have two questions.

1st- In the Meatflag game variant the flag is a living person. A stranded. In order to get the "flag" you have to down him and bring him to a certain area as a meatshield. When downing the "flag" is it possible to kill him or does he just down? If he can die than don't bother reading the second question.

2nd- If the "flag can't die then you would be able to walk around with it as a meatshield and it would never degrade and eventually blow up. So thereore wouldn't you be able to walk around with the meatshield for as long as you want?

no, i'm pretty sure when the meatshield/stranded takes enough damage it is released from the guy holding him and he starts shooting again

at which point he has to be downed again

No, once the MeatFlag takes as much damage as a normal Meatshield, instead of falling apart, he breaks free and fights once again.

As stated above several times, after a certain amount of damage the stranded breaks free and enrages, attacking everyone.

im glad that the meatflag breaks free after a certain amount of damage because if not people would probably use that as an exploit to their advantage

The actual meatshield, the one that you recieve when you pick up a downed human player, is destructable. According to Cliff, the body will take damage from fire and it will degrade, I.E. the arms will fall off, ect, giving you less cover. But the Submission gametype, formerly known as meat flag, has invincibility set in for the stranded. If you have a stranded as your meatflag, and other players shoot it enough, it will break free from your grasp and go crazy on any players closest to it. I don't believe you can manually drop a meatshield, but don't quote me on that.

Stranded aka Meatflag is only seen in submission, they will never die but can be dropped if shot
