I'm really excited for Toronto because teams like Infinity have a lot to make up for and teams like FragD Phenom have a title to live up to. There's also you're usual top 8 teams hoping to place higher and make some upsets. There's also a EU team (Dignitas) traveling overseas looking to fight their way up into the top 8. Best of luck to them.

Toronto will certainly be interesting and I'm VERY excited to watch it as it unfolds.

the quality is really good for GoW. There's commentating in the championship rounds, which is tommorow, early in the mourning till the evening. So GoW starts at 5:30 eastern time today with the open bracket, and ends some time tomorrow evening.

I always found the mlg site so confusing.. The VOD vids, are they the only videos and the commented ones?

The commented vids are the best like the Stride championship series thing.

The stride championship series is done at some other times. It's only done for Halo 3 also.
The links I provided in the thread about MLG, are the only one you need. There the ones that cover the live footage that starts today. Like I said previously, the commentating for GoW starts tomorrow mourning, when the championship bracket starts. For those times, refer to the first post in this thread. later today, I'll post the direct link to the VoD for GoW if anyone needs it, but to be honest you shouldn't because I already provided the thread on MLG giving you the links.

but yeah, this should be a fun event to watch with the British team playing throughout the open. Many EU people seem positive that they'll break top 8 but no one else thinks so.

Nope, I was on Bloodline and we were actually looking pretty good but I made the mistake of forgetting to leave my current team, invalid, so I was on a pro roster after the pro deadline and MLG wouldn't let me join Bloodline =[

luckily I canceled my 1,200 dollar plane ticket and 300 dollar hotel, but this is the first event I've watched at home this season =\

i know its a ways away but theres gonna be some intersting news for a group going to dallas. i shouldnt say anything yet because its a first for MLG and they have to go through legal to see if its ok. if they say its ok then youll hear/read about it for sure.

yeah, a lot of wasted boomshots, slow gameplay.

But if you watched wb r2, you got to see fast gameplay, the way GoW MLG is played. 3-0s across the board. Even the second match was a little weird though. who ever was host completly dominated.

@Fallout: That sucks about you not being able to make it out to Toronto. I've been hearing about bloodline lately so that would have been interesting. I was really happy I got to see Kyrogenik play today though. It was awesome knowing someone who was there, and having played with them before.

Also, I have a lot of faith in Dignitas. I think they'll break top 8 if they can adapt and play smart like I think they can.

EDIT:

Making their climb to the top as well is Dignitas, who has only given up a total of 10 kills to their opposing teams in two rounds of competition. Averaging out at 2.5 deaths per map so far, that is an amazing ratio for any team in any competition. Considered the "Infinity" of the UK, Dignitas was able to top F3 in a 2-0 map score. Moving into round 4 of Open Bracket competition, they will be facing a red hot TLR in perhaps the match of the night.

hard to say how good the Dignitas really are....i'm not trying to be a naysayer, but the vast majority of those teams were not very good

they just got beat by the 4th ranked team the nzanes. They beat Vbi, but ran into a much tougher and skilled opponent in the Nzanes. They won two maps tough, so you gotta give them some credit. For a team virtually unknown, they're doing a really good job though.
