Did they ever give info on the 4th difficulty?

The three existing difficulties are what they were in 1. The new difficulty is basically Tourist mode.

Casual is easier, and normal is the equivalent to casual in GOW1. Because they thought casual on the first gears was a tad too hard.

jesus christ i was dying to get to insane in gears 1 i never played on casual anyone tell me wht its like lol i went straight to hardcore when i first played

Not just kids will use it. I have a co-worker in his 50's who bought a 360. Never really games before, but really liked the looks of games like COd4 and Gears.

Casual on Gears was too hard for him, he just can't get used to the whole 3D thing. He likes to play his games in short bursts, so he's not likely to become a pro any time soon.

Shortly after he bought the 360 he told me he was stuck - I figured he's made it to a bigger battle or the first berserker. Nope - he was still in the prison level - couldn't succesfully raodie run through the door you have to open which closes automatically.

i love insane one hit melee for the locust to kill u thts kinda crap but when u get up close and chainsaw one the felling is amazing lol watchin it sqwirm as u chainsaw throught its armour gota love it

In casual, the boltok is a 1-hit headshot though. I might be running through campaign on casual just to get a million pistol headshots

I think the new casual will better for getting the just of the story and is ideal if you want to watch the cut-scenes.
