Can someone help me?

I bought UT3 today, and after i finished instaling it, the key request didn't appear and windows allways reports an error.
Can someone tell me what to do? I would appreciate it.

It asks you for the key when you start it up...But I'm not sure what the error could be from....What did the error actually say?

I know it should ask for the key. But it doesn't. My pc doesn't even open the game window it shows the error right away.

oh, the error window said "UT3.exe encountered a problem and is going to shut down. We are sorry for any inconvenniance this may bring to you" i guess is this. i'm translating it to english. it gives me two options: to send the report file, and another that doesn't send it

I know you just installed it, but it sounds like something got messed up during installation...Try reinstalling real quick.....Also, just for reference, what are your computer specs?

i've already reinstalled it. my computer specs are:single core processor pentium 4 2.66ghz, 512 mb ram, ati radeon 9200se

Hmm....This problem is "out of my league"....I'm not too familiar with Ati GPU's, so I'm not sure if it's bad or not....But with exception of your limited ram, you should be ok with a P4....Have you tried the demo to see if you can even run it? Also, make sure all of your drivers are up to date...As well as install the latest patch for UT3...

No this sounds like a windows Vista issue, HuGorilla, you have windows VISTA? with other games there was that problem where you have to right click the shortcut/properties/ look for COMPATABILITY, and then chjange to an earlier version, but this should not be the case, since this game is for directx 10 (vista only)

I recomend:
-make sure you have your drivers uptodate, and see with ATI if there are any incompatabilities between your video card and the game
-finally read the link joaofcb gave you, ULTRON'S tweak

Delete all the ini files in your my documents\games\ut3\config\
ie UTGame.ini and UTEngine.ini. I probably should read what others have posted but I did not, if this is a repeat please disregard.

ok, i'm guessing here, but i've read that harddrive sector problems can also cause this game to fail (so sensitive ouch), so this this:
1. run a Defragmentation on your hard drive,
2.once thats done, unistalling the game, and install it to a different folder. like: c:\pcgames\ut3
3. if that dont work, lol last suggesting, reinstall your windows

and driver, and then try to install the game, i mean its only worth if you want to get out of any doubts

4.once you do that and it works, install acronis true image and make a full backup of your hard drive, so next time you want to reset everthing, just do a defragmentation, and run acronis true image to RESTORE everything as day one you had your ut3 installed. any questions add me in msn or xfire. peace!
