. Let me talk a little about the map and myself. I love design and video games, and wanted to make something like a full video game... (Who doesn't?). I have a bit of experience with Source editor, but never got the flow of making levels to make a functional one. But at last, with Unreal Editor and Gears of War I found the motivation,tools, and time (less sleep hours) to make something that I think is good enough to post... my first map.

And here it is: a First map for a GoW Single player campaign of 3-5 maps... its name is "The Fallout". The project starts with a history that follows the game (read docs in .rar!!), many designs in paper, and it starts to become real after many hours of reading,see tutorials,read forums (like this) and many errors on compiling tasks. At last, with a little help of my friends (all the community) and personal efforts, I finished this first map. As the first map I have done, its more than possible that many errors have passed my attention. Nevertheless, I think it´s pretty finished to post here and not in Beta posts.

"Aghh that was close!!"
The map itself is not too large, and the path to follow is not complex at all. It centers on game flow. I think the way the map maker plays reflects in the maps... I like a progressive and strategic advance over a simply shoot all style. You only have to reach the last building (the base), enter it using the code Marcus has... and stay alive. Its hard, and takes a while to reach the base, and you will probably die many times. There is a hard resistance, and you have to advance progressively to have a chance, like in a real urban war. A few advices:
*ammo its not endless... beware of wasting it. Learn where it is placed.
*beware of Snipers... and Theron... and Boomers...They are easily visible, but can kill you in one shoot...as you know. Use cover wisely.
*there is ONE Hammer of Dawn somewhere...you´ll need it.
*Try to keep Dom alive, his help and cover is really useful, even needed in some moments in this map.
*the map doesn't have any checkpoints yet, so be patient in your advance or you have to start again.

Marcus and Dom have reached the backdoor of the headquarters... downstairs is the first level of the base. Now they have to find the data, but a dead silence welcomes them... something its going wrong ... security has been deactivated... and something moves in the shadows...

NOTE: You can play the campaign from the beginning starting the first map: open console and type "open fallout_01" or you can play only the beta 1.3 of the second level, by typing "fallout_Inter01" if you want to see the cinematic sequence, or "fallout02_Main" if only want to start the second map.
