Question Join a server from the command line?

In UT2004 it is possible to join a specified server directly from the command line (or via the command line in a Windoze shortcut) with a command line similar to this:

    Code:
    C:\UT2004\system\ut2004.exe ut2004://<server IP:port>

I have not been able to find or figure out a way to accomplish the same thing with UT3. The UT3 login seems to get in the way and UT3 just starts up, logs in and stops at the main menu. I have tried using a similar command line:

    Code:
    C:\UT3\binaries\ut3.exe ut3://<server IP:port>

    and the console 'open' command:

    Code:
    C:\UT3\binaries\ut3.exe -open=<server IP:port>

...neither gets past the main menu.

Is it possible to do this? If so, how? If not, I'd sure like Patch 3 to implement a way to do it.

As gamers, playing games is our second-most favorite hobby. Our most favorite is, of course, complaining about games.

You should try "C:\UT3\binaries\ut3.exe -login=yourname -password=yourpass" and then add one of the other things you are trying.
