    Map - Deathmatch (PC) Dm-Phobos-Beta1 (finaly!)

    Name: Dm-Phobos-Beta1

    Version:Beta 1.0

    Compatibility: Pc, soon on ps3(when im gonna find out how lol)

    Description:This Phobos is my remake of the map of Cedric 'Inoxx' Fiorentino.
    There is almost all the same hiding spot from the ut99's phobos,just not the windows


    History: Since the necris army destroyed ''phobos'' , moon of mars, interstellar base are floating into the space near mars.....(next of history on next beta(1.1) ...)

    Comments: it make since november i think im working on it?...ok ok... -2 month off...+ school stuff so = release today lol...

    Phobos is one of the classic map in ut 99 so i hope you will enjoy it.The alpha version was realy bad, Beta is lot better, so people who tested the alpha... erase it! lol...and realy , i was suposed to release the beta month ago but, each time i was ready to upload it, i was seeying a new bug in the map to fix, and i still got 1, but a little 1...try to find xD(null texture somewhere)...

    Bug know:
    -a small triangle with null texture

    missing:
    -3 sound from phobos 99
    -level picture

    need to edit for later:
    -lightning! as always....lol

    no m8 i played it 10 minutes long without any kind of pb

    haha u re right .........i always hate phobos but playing this version... it s like if i rediscovered phobos ........this map is definitivly one of my top
    dunno how u ve succed to put such a deep athmosphere(original music theme help a lot) but i thank u a lot for ur work

    btw cant find the bug.........perhaps cauz i m catch by the fun each time l^^

    and if there is no bug , i will begin beta 2.0 ... gonna add some sound, and a level picture, and description....maybe a teleport engine! lol but not sur yet...

    1. Start UT3. Choose your map from the game menu. If it does not show up, make sure you Published the map before doing this.

    2. Take a screenshot:
    - Set the game settings to World and Texture of 5 for best visual quality, select a resolution of at least 1024x768 or 1280x1024.
    - Set the Weapon Hand to Hidden in the Advanced options.

    ..........Package = <mapname> eg. "DM-Mymap"
    ..........Group = "MapPic"
    ..........Name = "map-pic-<mapname>" eg. "map-pic-dm-mymap".
    - Set "CompressionNoAlpha" to True
    - Set "CreateMaterial?" to True
    - Set "Lighting Model" = MLM_Unlit
    - Set "LODGroup" to TEXTUREGROUP_UI
    - Set "RGB To Diffuse" to True.
    - After the texture is loaded, right-click on it in the Generic Browser and choose Texture Viewer and set the NeverStream property to True.
    - A new Material should be created in your map package's MapPic group. It will look like the default checkerboard texture in the Generic Browser.
    - Rename the material to "MAT_map-pic-<mapname>" (ie. put the MAT_ in front of the name) and right-click and edit the material, move the Texture Sample device so that the material has changed and click on the left green check button to Apply Changes. The material should now look totally black in the Generic Browser, this is because it is unlit.
    - Select a hidden CSG Surface somewhere in your map and apply the material. Alternately, add a simple unused StaticMesh and apply the Material to the StaticMesh Material override property. This retains a copy of the material and your screenshot texture in your map package, which would otherwise be flushed out on the next Save if it wasn't actually in use on some geometry.
    - Save your map then cook it to generate the .ini file.

    4. Set up the ini file for the screenshot.
    - Edit the <mapname>.ini file that was created when you published the map.
    - Change the line "PreviewImageMarkup=<Images: UI_FrontEnd_Art.GameTypes.DeathMatch>" to read "PreviewImageMarkup=<Images:<mapname>.MapPic.m ap-pic-<mapname>>" eg. "PreviewImageMarkup=<Images: DM-Mymap.MapPic.map-pic-dm-mymap>".

    Basically, just replace the package.group.name of the default screenshot (UI_FrontEnd_Art.GameTypes.DeathMatch) with your package.group.name (DM-Mymap.MapPic.map-pic-dm-mymap) of your screenshot.

    Note: the "<" and ">" must be in the text.
    Note: There should be no space between <Images: and DM-.

    Ok ty:P, im releasing the new version ...maybe the last beta...(2)...
    I fixed lot of little bug...and It only miss the beautifull Screenshot...gonna make it later..(oh and to cook..but at end hehe...)...in meanwhile..i will put more texture into the map...its a remake so i dont want to add to many mesh evrewhere...cause i want this remake to be the same...maybe another version could make the job for mesh and evrething...anyway...had no time to continue it ''this year'' hehe...had school and evrething...anyway...The last beta version comming soon...(I hope -_-')...

    Yeah, and i am, just taking my time lol,I have to figure out how I could make this map more attractive and nice... Adding Texture, Moddifing light, adding static mesh, but...I need to find some place to add them all, and its kinda hard, plus I got school but see, since now I will work on it realy hard, and try to find new content to put in there :P

    Give your idea whenever you want, if you think there should be something somewhere in the map, just reply, I need idea, Im trying to check out lot of other map to give me idea how they designed their map but it wont make the job...

    Damm! i got some cool idea...im gonna make some camera, and monitor arround the map, not too much but like 5...and people could be able to active or desactive camera...

    plus..it could be nice if there would be special button somewhere in the map, or only a timmer, that could make something special to people in the center of the map...

    and im making more movement in the inner map...and new texture, kinda boring always the same texture -_-'...

    -gonna add some zoneName for teamgame..
    -add map pic
    -add sound..
    -make zone portal...

    and i need oppinion about these 2 thing:
    -breaking windows( i dont realy like but could be nice at the place where is the shockrifle, first floor)
    -gravity...(in the real phobos from ut99, there is no gravity..that why i wonder if i should put any...

    next beta gonna be awesome .... I can feel it...

    Some news:
    Ive come to a great idea, that put in ALERT mode for 1 minute, evre light close, some door close in the map...
    -plus im designing new floor/wall texture....
    -Im adding Emitter to the map, It need more movement in the map...Gaz..electricity...
    -I think i will Cancel The monitor,there is 1 bug, and i realy dk why it make this...when we get close to the monitor, the game stop moving in the monitor(no more animation)...
    -...Im still trying to overload my mind with idea, so I will begin with my first idea of alert mode...ive already begin the kismet...(actualy almost finish..hehehe,I love kismet.. soo much better than in ued2.0 ...was only trigger, tag/event...anyway ) and after I will think to a new idea ...
