How to lower land???

I have some land placed already, and i want to lower the edges towards some water. Howerver i cant find a tool in the land editor that alows me to do that. I do know i could lower the land all together, but this means i have to edit my land all over again, it took me a long time to make this land to my liking.

Anyone who can help me???

i have a solution, but it will take some time to explain,
thou very simple to do once you get the base idea.
It has to do with vertex selection and deselection and
then lower or higher with very small amount of sensitivity.
I don't have time for the moment, but will be back soon

Easier.... With any of the terrain brushes: To get the Opposite effect, hold the Shift key and then paint. Works with terrain textures, smoothing (though it makes things all jagged), etc. as well

That's the way to do it. I don't know about anyone else, but holding shift while working with the terrain tools has no effect whatsoever and shouldn't as far as I know. Many of the terrain tools have opposing functions and they are accessed by holding Ctrl and either left-clicking or right-clicking.
