Pc gaming is much better , just because they made more money in the console version they simply knock every pc game they've made away. Greedy is all i can say honestly. I wish(and will try very hard) to become a games developer and i can assure you ill be doing it for the passion , not the money. I spit on Cliff if he really said that.

not for gears of war. have you played it on pc? compared to the 360 version its bloody terrible! the mouse and keyboard set up does not suit the third person perspective and the cover system, and the screen size doesn't help. it belongs on a noisy white (or black) console with a 20gb (or 120gb) hard drive, using a EXTREMELY comfortable controller on a nice 32 inch or bigger TV. the console it was designed for.

I havent played GOW yet but if it is anything like the cover system for R6 Vegas the keyboard mouse combo is excellent!

There's just too many of these Gears of War 2 PC threads. PC gamers, you'll probably get Gears 2 a year later after the release of the 360 version. Maybe with extra content, maybe not. But you'll almost definitely have access to the updated Unreal Engine. No matter how much you complain, you won't get Gears 2 on PC at the same time as the 360. So if you really want to play Gears 2 that bad, buy a 360. That's all I have to say.

He said he found the PC market to be in disarray, and aimed at games other than shooters at the moment, which is, in fact, the case to a large extent. That is, in fact, different than saying he hates PC gaming.

Lets clear things up:
1 - Cliffy design's the game, and doesn't have power over which platforms Microsoft wants to put them on
2 - When they say "360 Exclusive," that means console exclusive. (PC is not a console)
3 - There is cross-platform evidence found in the original gears of war. Does that hint that they are ready to support cross platform. You cannot release PC a year later and then make it cross platform. It would be dumb.
4 - I think EPIC knows they are showing and giving sh*** support to PC gamers, AKA they will give us PC gamers a new fully working game, come this fall.
5 - This one is just my opinion, but if EPIC were to push the PC gamers aside and release neither a patch or the new game on or really near the release date, I would expect some sort of retaliation against them. Ever since I came back to the forums, It's been in my head that a lawsuit is coming for delivering an unfinished product. This has yet to happen, but if things don't change I think it will.
6 - Gears of War 2, a year later is BS. The game is made on PC so just put it on the disk with the appropriate programing.

pissed on xbox gamer! i am really pissed of with epic games, i was really anoyed to hear their was an extra level on gow pc verson. i hope this dosent happen agean on gow 2! (i hope sone one at epic games reads this)

You seem to be forgetting about all the whining about "host advantage", quitters", "weapon sliding", "Active reloads". Why would Epic want to go through that again with a Gears of War 2? I"ll tell you, whining as nothing to do with it. Even in a perfect game, you will still see whiners on forums complaining about the game. Nintendo's Zelda: Ocarina of time, one of the best games of all time, had whiners. There is nothing you can do about it.

The PC version has bugs to be worked out. Thankfully I didn't get the major issues some of my fellow PC gamers seem to have.

But in the end, we're all gamers and we all want to play great games, no matter which platform we decided to play on.

Lol i have both version , i play on max graphics on pc version and hd on the xbox version , the pc version is nicer looking. But not only that the mouse and keyboard is much better with this game , infact i think the controls were done extreamly well for a 3rd person shooter using a mouse.

Wow a 20gig harddrive , ive never seen one of them before. They cost like 60 quid , for 60 quid i cud buy a 250gig harddrive for the pc lol.The controllers are nice , but a mouse is too. The game is not awful i prefer it to the xbox version and ive played the xbox version 4 like a year , its just its so unpopular due to people having problems. This is why i dont really play it , if its like 1am i find like 1 game at the max with an alright connection , oh yea of course the xbox version is better cus it has all tht lovely bullet lag and host advantage.
Its the same for the pc , but somehow the game is much less laggy and feels quite like host 2 me (half the time).

I am sure it will be on the PC too because of the Gaming Alliance. There is no doubt in my mind. Now if they could just hurry up and release the newer patch...then that would be great. I am still waiting to order the game because of this new patch.

Still haven't taken the plunge surya? I thought for sure you'd have jumped in by now. I've installed the game on a couple more machines lately with no problems except 1 - a crash because of the X-Fi. Is that why you're waiting for the patch, or is it because you're planning for the worst?

Gears is brilliant on PC with kb/mouse control; it feels entirely natural to me, and I've been playing PC shooters for over 15 years now. After finishing Act4 with my brother the other night, I went around grinning for the next hour. Terrific experience.
