I have on the 360 version, even fighting RAAM alone, which is the same level of difficulty, and I am in act four of the PC version on Insane.

Also there aren't cheats for this game.

The game on INSANE really is self explanatory...it took me and my friend along time just to do some of the levels...and atch out for the locust shotgun...it will hit you from far aay

with a lot of patience i got through acts 2, 3, and 4 alone on insane, acts 1 and 5 i did with a friend

I was nearly finished insane when I lost my checkpoints for the fourth time. now I have to unlock it again. I wasn't finding it that hard. But I hadn't gotten to RAAM yet.

its easy guys c'mon all you have to do is grab sniper and >>>>> HEADSHOT <<<<< then wolla locust dead but RAMM is the slightest hard guy you might need multiplayer for that (i did it alone) i took 3 lives then managed but if you have 360 version i can help you with act 3,4,5 because my disc got scratched in the 360 and now doesnt play acts 1,2 so i will help you add my gamertag FunnyJamie i aint moody :P

I finished it on Insane on PC using keyboard. Just gotta do a lot of blind fire. The hardest bit is when explosive wretches come running at you, you gotta shoot, dive into the right spot and avoid being attacked all at once, otherwise you ARE dead.

A lot of sniper head shots and torque bow shots help too.

Finally! I finished it on insane (PC). 2 previous runthroughs were cut short by lost checkpoints. Got lucky this time. The Brumak and RAAM were really not any different than on casual .. you just gotta make sure your in cover.

The hardest bit is when explosive wretches come running at you, you gotta shoot, dive into the right spot and avoid being attacked all at once, otherwise you ARE dead.

Agreed. The hardest part was the lambent wretches. I found it best to melee them with the torque bow and jump outta the way. Just keep moving. If you get cornered your toast. Otherwise not too hard.

um since when did Gears have cheats?

and yes you can beat Insane easily, it only takes patience.
and it helps to have a co-op partner


some levels are technically easier than Hardcore cause theres less enemy although technically they're supposed to be "harder" to kill so i assume Epic though it would even its self out, when it doesnt, it just makes those missions actually HARDER on the Medium difficulty than it does on the Hardest difficulty

i finished the game, i unlocked the difficulty, then my saves were lost, and then the difficulty was lost too.

I'm at act 5 now, busy with the brumak part. Can't with till I get those 2 achievements. Insane aint that tough

Mainly, some of them take more damage, they're more aggressive, and their weapons hit even harder. Basically, it's to Hardcore what Hardcore is to Casual.

Once I can get over the occasional crashing. constant hitching, and figure out why my mouse sensitivity will dip to nearly zero, then skyrocket for a moment, then return to normal, with no warning, I'll consider giving Insane a try. Hardcore is enough for now with all these issues...

Blindfire is your friend on Insane.

Also, If you found yourself repeating areas on Hardcore you will repeat them way more on Insane so get ready to hear those cutscenes over and over and over...

Are you using Logitech Setpoint? That was giving me issues so I dumped it.

I do well if I play with someone as good as me. Solo I haven't tried more than once, and it was do-able.
