    Arrow UT Forge?

Can Epic make a patch to let PS3 users build maps like Halo 3 does with Forge?

    1) halo can suck an egg

    2) no, they have better things to do. mods are beein made for Ps3 by the PC community, be patient

The Forge doesn't really allow for much. It just lets you change the placement of items, weapons, vehicles and spawnpoints on a map that comes with the game, right? I could get more creative than that with the old Timesplitters map editor.

I would figure this would be moddable by a fan. Just as Garries mod was for Halflife 2.

This would be great if they also added in the feature to edit terrain as well.

Simply because there is no PS3 editor so its better than nothing

But remember, Mark Rein thinks forge is a waste of space and that according to him its not even a real editor!!!

So being a patch this is very unlikely.

Forge, although inferior to UE3, does have it's merits, since you can use it in real time in multiplayer games.

I doubt you will see this for UT3. The issue will lie in the fact that maps are cooked, and modifying it will change things that may require re-building and re-cooking.

It doesn't matter about maps being cooked and such, it doesn't change the actual map, it's just an in-game item/vehicle/weapon replacer, spawner and mover. It can be done through a GameType mod.

And Mark Rein was right, it's not an editor, it's just an extension of the ability to pick weapon and vehicle sets in levels which the previous Halo games had.

Yes it does to do what people are mentioning in this thread, for example modifying terrain, etc. That requires a build to re-create lightmaps.
It isn't as easy as you all might think to start performing major modifications.
    Just purchase the PC version.
