    Default problem with new computer

ok so ive purchased a bunch of new stuff from newegg to build my new computer and ive run into a problem involving the power supply and MB.

the power supply is ocz gamer xtreme 700w and the mb is evga 680i t1 version.

the particular problem is that the motherboard has an 8pin 12v connector for the CPU and the PSU has 2x4pin cpu connectors. one is labelled cpu1 and the other cpu2. so i kinda figured i could stick bouth the cpu1 and cpu2 cables into the 8 pin slot. however, i wanted to check before i end up frying my computer.

    thanks

Always best to look at your motherboard manual. (Never just trust an answer on a forum.) It will show the pin outs on the connector. There are four +12V and 4 comm, pin 5-8 are +12v(yell,yell/blu) and 1-4 are comm (black). The clip side on the 8 pin is +12v, same with the 2 four pin connectors. When you finish connecting them it will look like a single 8 pin connector. You guessed it, been there done that. The little book that comes with it shows an 8 pin connector.
    I currently play as [T5K]Bobba_Novis, {T5K}Bobba_Novi, and Gi_96.
