    MAP-CTF CTF-ThornsNEC - pimped out necris theme, PIC, DL

    Name: CTF-ThornsNEC

    Version: Beta, release candidate.

    Compatibility: UT3 patch 1.1

    Description: Good ol Thorns but this time in Necris theme.

    Comments: This map was my playground for kismet and materials. Materials got scrapped in favor of old and simple ones. But Kismet is here in full glory. Flag capture and return have their kismet sequences, so be carefull. There are 4 visible triggers to test kismet without doing actual event, i'll remove them for final release. Map is a bit demanding for cpu power due to all meshes in one big room, so no real optimalisation possible.

    Credits: Whoever made orginal thorns, too many remakes to be sure now.

    dude, this map looks incredible now.. really, it is very cool twist in the original Thorns.
    i think it will be good, if you add little more light, or up some lights that already exists to make it a little brighter... especially this neutral space (square) between the red and blue bases... maybee it will be good point to add light on this 2nd floor corridors...

    It is quite bright, but has very low contrast beetwen places. I wanted to add some sunlight and volumetric beams up there, but that eats a bit too much cpu. So maye some simple lights. And do not forget to play with kismet events and test them, they are complicated and caused a lot of trouble. So I am not sure they will work for everybody.

    No, but that is a good idea. But I will not put it in, as this should not mutate further from original Thorns. So it remains as it is: spawn points on round balconies and bottom (to accomodate more players), side, square balconeis have redeemed arnd double damage just like in orginal.
