    I got a map for you all too test here.

    Invisible walls - for low gravity
    Added SlimeVolume to the slime indoor
    Changed Textures - still dull tho..

    Oh yeah!
    Let those q3tourney* maps come! Also waiting for some q3ra* maps!

    Outdoor is too big, it takes almost 20 sec. from one corner to the other and there are only few weapons on the way.
    If you want to make this map popular you should use all UT weapons in this map and make it smaller, because atm only the sniper is useful on this map and since UT is not using a railgun that doesn't make sooo much fun.

    I think would take a lot a lot of work to make Q3Tourney4 playable 4 UT, because of the movement etc. Maybe the original layout doesn't fit.. I don't know

    Thanks for the replys.

    I'm working on scaling down the map, becouse its like you're saying it is way too big (atleast outdoors) and I'm unhappy with it. I will try to squees some more weapons into the map aswell, however I have no clue atm of where too place them. So if anyone got any suggestion please let me know.

    I have fixed the Indoor Jumpad I noticed that you could not jump onto it from the sides, and I fixed the Jumpad leading up too the second "floor" outside where you could not move onto it from beneth the second "floor".

    Also the map is made mostly out of what I can remeber of it, has been quite a while since I played Q3A.

    Okay, maybe I can help you with a few suggestions:

    - Down scale the outdoor area and try to get a balance of items on all corners, because the Keg / Belt area will be the most important atm and the rest of the map is almost unimportant
    - Maybe it would be better to replace Belt with an Amp
    - Get the Belt indoor
    - Helmet & Armor at the other corners and remove the Keg
    - The indoor could be a bit wider maybe
    - Some poison fluid on the bottom of the indoor area would be nice

    Now to the weapon placement:
    - Mini / Sniper should be far away from Amp
    - Rocket / Flak / Bio should not be indoor
    - Shock Rifle would be well placed on the bottom underneath the amp i think, because its maybe the most powerful weapon indoor and in some areas outdoor
    - Link Gun can be placed everywhere i think

    These are my suggestions... Try it out and release and new beta and we'll see what changes you need additionally

    Okay, the current weapon/armor/health layout is the same as in the Quake III Arena version of the map. However I agree with you that the Keg-Belt area is the most important one. I might try to balance it out abit or replace them, not quite sure yet. I'll wait and see what others think.

    I don't know I think that the layout is just not fitting into UT gameplay... you need some major changes to make this working.
    My ideas are just a suggestion, so that you can keep the original layout of the map. But still the gameplay wouldn't be so much fun as in Q3... I just can't imagine to play this map wihout strafejumping.

    Maybe you try something new instead?

    It is generally ok now. But maybe you have to pay attention how the remake pro-q3-tourney4 is made. I guess it has a better ballance.
    And it doesnt need amp for sure

    Is pro-q3-tourney4 the one with the teleporter inside the building on the first floor? Anywho, I'll try to get my hands on Q3A again (Since I don't have it installed atm) and have a look at both Q3Tourney4 and the "Pro" version.

    Yes,exactly. Btw the map scale is quite good. Not all maps should be played in a crumpled rooms and thin corridors,we need maps with some space and wide areas a as well. I tried a couple bot matches and gameplay was not that bad.

    Added some new pics of the map now. However I'm not sure that I'll keep the light settings or the current textures, I'm trying out various stuff atm..

    Ok, first of all, scaling is waay to big. Please try to get quake 3 and make exact scaling. This map is really too big. And please try to make similar textures like in quake wersion (bright metal) or something similar but these textures arent good for this map. And yes, indoor area is perfect, even the textures are good, but outdoor is too big and its ugly. Please try to make this map as near as you can as original.

    Don't put amp in there. Also, wouldn't it make more sense to add in the keg where t he belt is right now? it's what was in q3.

    Heh, it is indeed ugly, however as I said before textures/lightning might change (unless you guys like the yellow lights).

    I have made the map a little smaller on the sides (rocket/flak areas) and working on the textures, however my problem is this: I'm no good at making the map actually looking good I'll let you all know when I've got an updated version ready for you to try out, who knows what might have changed

    Unhappy DM-VerticalVengeance[Beta]

    That's the name of the map I'm reviewing and the UT3 file is 3,008 KB in size and it is by Reverse (checked editor), but I have no idea which actual version it is, because I got it off a web site where I can only DL the UT3 and INI files separately.

    This one needs an author name and screenshot in the in-game preview shot and the skybox needs serious work. The map is very plain with grayish and greenish walls with aqua-like colors in the center portion. The scaling seems fine in this version or at least similar to the other UT3 remakes of this map. The jump to the shield belt is a PITA and the bot is way too easy. This one needs to be finalized with a lot more detail.
