I rush out of work grab my copy of the Collectors Edition install works once then crashes. Try toi start it again screen goes black as if loading the videos then cuts to desktop. no errors or anything, play wit tweaks on forums nothing works but now i get a error message and still nothing . 29.99 english pounds down the drain. And the lovely ppl at game dont accept returns once opened which is lovely. Downloading the patch now this wont work i bet, so 29.99 down the drain for a lump of useless plastic with a half finished beta on it.

What ever happened to Cliffy B being lead programmer. Bring him back and get this sorted

ya i know dude this version UT3 is almost not Playable to much bugs and the game Crash like hell iam having problems also i exchange my copy 2 times i still have the same problems its not your game or your pc dude its the game code its self buggy

First, it's a DVD, heh, second, what are your specs, chances are your computer doesn't meet the requirements, if not, I'll try to assist further.

I don't know why you're posting your problem without the accompanying details of your computer. Do you have an ATI Radeon or Nvidia GeForce card? Are they newer than 3 years old? How much RAM do you have? What CPU brand and speed? What OS are you using? Is it up to date with the latest drivers?

I'm running an AMD 3000+, I have 2GB RAM, and I have a 256MB Radeon X1800GTO and the game runs well, and I've had very few technical problems, outside of the big one that the game looks great but only between 15-30FPS. My average components are about 2 years old, yet I can run the game, if not smoothly.

So stop with the complaining, let's hear some details. There are people here who might be able to help. For one thing, check out my thread that is linked in my sig. That has a fair amount of things you might try, to at least get the game running.

As far as I know there are 3 core problems:

1. Flickering after 20-30 minutes on Toran/Warfare (fixed with an alt-tab)
2. Permanent Flickering of shadows on character's arms
3. Crashes to desktop caused by enabling Open AL hardware support (seems limited to X-Fi cards).

Sooo... that's it. I wouldn't call it a ****ty beta - YOUR experience may be ****, but there's quite a few people happily fragging around without a care in the world running at 60fps

EDIT: Yeah, if you have problems post system specs. It's your choice - if you post your specs/OS/etc. then people may be inclined to help. If you just whine, nothing will get done and while you may get a few sympathetic posts from other people with problems it really won't get you anywhere.
