it still needs a lots of fixes e.g arms anim... it's currently disabled just like the reload anim because it looks ****ty when you reload your weapon 3 times a second

Please try to make the headshot boxes smaller! It isn't really fun when every shot of mine is a headshot. It feels like I'm playing 2k4 Zark, and thats bad. A few fixes for this and its great. Possibly even upthe firing speed a little bit.

i also wanted to add some variables which will be stored in the ini file to set an individual firerate / max ammout count / ammoamount / ammobox ....but i have to wait until the first patch comes out because the variables stored in the ini wont be used... freaking bug...
i was hoping NOT to see this.... GOD... seriously guys... STOP with the Zark auto BS this crap is POLLUTING the UT realm... there's nothing worse than the combination of FORBIDDING movement + MACHINE GUN sniper... it's like saying... "Hey not only can I not aim worth a crap but I have no intention to practice to get better so I'm going to have to ask you to STOP MOVING, so I can hit you...." Do you see what I'm saying? If you wanna SNIPE... play Crysis... I like moving and I don't enjoy being BANNED because I decide I don't wanna stand still for you to shoot.
Who said anything about not moving? Zark isn't intended to be used as a camping weapon, but rather as a run-n-gun weapon. Yes, your rifle does fire faster, but so does your opponents. Zark is about dodging rapid enemy gunfire on the fly, kind of like in real life battle.

You guys rip on zark, yet see nothing wrong with other games with automatic weapons. Camping is "skill," but zark is for those with no skills whatsoever. I don't get it.

I have it running with no problems, i did have to replace the enforcer with it so that its available upon spawn. The only suggestion i have is to increase the fire rate. I run traditional zark and it seems like the fire rate is way to slow unless berzerk is enabled and traditional zark doesnt use berzerk, it sux for the regs. So if you could increase the fire rate to about what it is with berzerk that would be perfect. I do have the game speed mutator running and its still a bit slow. BTW i was on your server and it runs great there but then again u have every weapon replaced and berzerk enabled. So i guess if you could make it so its available on spawn without replacing the enforcer and increase the fire rate slightly it would be perfect. BTW thanks so much for getting this out so fast i was dying without my zark.
Also any nub in here critisizing zark because its not realistic, go blow yourself and remember this is UNREAL tournament. Go play CSS is u want real.
Also i did not have to enable it in my command line just the weapon replacement mutator but i did notice that if you want to run more than one mutator u have to use a comma its not a seperate "?mutator= " line its "?mutator=mymutator,mysecondmutator". Sorry if that doesnt make a whole lot of sense but im not at home to post my actual cl. But what im trying to say is all mutators go in one command. Now if only i could find a fix for peeps not being able to connect to my server through the browser......
A custom ZarkRifle
Option to choose weather it's a camperrifle or run and gun
->+x health for killer
->+x ammo for killer
->+x armor for killer
disable tracer/beam effect
replace any weapon you want
get the hands anim workin properly
-> ammo count at spawn
-> ammo pickup
-> max ammo count
Maybe its because those weapons have RECOIL, and require reloading.. The mini gun in UT is ok because the bullets don't kill you in TWO SHOTS (sniper does 70 DMG a shot if you haven't noticed .... Having an automatic sniper rifle like zark is removing 95% of the skill that aiming requires, simply because it does so much damage.. at the RoF this thing shoots at, it might as well be machinegun instagib... hold down fire, move your mouse in circles approximately near your target and OH look, they died... find another target... repeat. Forget AIMING, as would be required with a normal sniper rifle, just fire and move your mouse... your crosshairs will eventually cross over your target and OMG... you'll get a kill.
Bottom line, this mod encourages terrible gameplay habbits, such as; spray n pray, bunny hopping, standing still, repugnant aiming, and worst of all: LOSS of the concept of skill. Even though you say it has nothing to do with forcing you to stop.... most servers that Have this mod forbid run'n'gun, disable dodging, and the mere fact that you KNOW of the term "Run 'n' Gun" proves my point... this is made for people who can't aim, don't want to put any effort into improvement, and want the game to be as easy as possible. Its a disgrace to UT. Delete it.
Ignoring darksideofnub.... That sounds great Swat, i hope the +hp and +arm is configurable also but it definatly sounds like your on the right track.
Darkside, have you ever though about this? If you don't like it, dont play it? It's simple, try it sometime.

The bonuses for ammo, health and armor are a great idea but i think they should only be for headshots.
Other features i would like to see......
DNA Sensor when zooming (to find enemy players hiding in shadows or hidden rooms etc)
Increase health while crouching
Great job so far and i for one am looking forward to using the finished rifle.
Sure, pros can come in and wipe everyone out, but thats because they have ALREADY developed and nurtured their skill. My point is that the people who get sucked into this mod and the servers dedicated to it, because its so easy, RETARD their skills... they get WORSE. They depend on spray and pray, non movement, slow low grav, and an excessive amount of damage to kill anything. Their skill either stays the same or gets worse. This isn't about the quality of the mod, its about WHAT it does to the community. Towards the end of UT2004's lifespan almost 3/4 of the populated servers were ZARK... and the players inside were terrible. It's truly sad and frustrating to see all that potential talent wasted on such a black hole for skill as this mod.

Ever friggin' consider he made it FOR FUN and NOT SKILL? And really, I don't even believe in skill much anyway. Is it that complicated to run around with a few keys, jump around, and left or right click with a mouse? I thought not. lol Some people like the idea of rapid fire, and some not at all.
This may be your OPINION, but there is no need to go all rude about it. Judging by your attitude, you're kind of contradicting yourself. Just because people like this mod doesn't mean you gotta treat them like trash. I don't play UT games online really at all anymore because there are a lot of rude people on there.
I don't play for skills, I play for fun and I like the idea behind Zark because it's a new take on a favorite weapon of mine, and to be frankly honest, I still switch between the normal sniper rifle and this during matches. I've actually played previous versions of ZarkRifle and I happened to think they were kind of a cool concept.
Just let the people who like it alone and go about hating it somewhere that there will be less chance of a flame war that could go on.
