    Default UT3 Full, Vista 64 - Game won't start

    Well, i kinda have a little problem here... UT3 won't start at all

    When i run the game, that splashscreen pops up, the the screen goes black for a second and then Vista tells me "UT.exe doesn't work anymore"...

    The System should be capable of running it, at least the Demo worked on this machine. Ok, under Xp 64, but i don't like to have a 2nd or 3rd OS installed just for playing some games...

    Ati X800gt, catalyst 7.10
    Vista 64 Business
    Athlon 64 X2 4200+
    Asus A8N-E Board with latest working sound drivers for Vista (at least i think)
    1.5 GB RAM

    any ideas?

    hi, i had almost the same problem.

    search for the file "utengine.ini"

    then:
    Set PumpWindowMessagesWhenRenderThreadStalled=True instead of False.

    and

    bInitializeShadersOnDemand=True

    found this in another thread @this forum, it worked fine.

    good luck

    wtf o.O

    sieht aber übel aus.

    kernel32.dll sollte man runterladen können, such mal bei google.

    zur msvcr80.dll gibts nen thread hier im forum.

    das mit der ut3.exe ist ein wenig seltsam...

    am besten das game mal neu installieren oder utengine.ini die ersten zeilen überprüfen die sollten so aussehen :

    Protocol=unreal
    Name=???
    Map=UTFrontEnd.ut3
    LocalMap=UTFrontEnd.ut3
    TransitionMap=EnvyEntry.ut3
    MapExt=ut3
    EXEName=UTGame.exe
    DebugEXEName=DEBUG-UTGame.exe
    SaveExt=usa
    Port=7777
    GameName=Unreal Tournament 3
    GameNameShort=UT3
