    Default Game keeps crashing [solved - ATI driver updated]

    I'll be playing for anything between 1 and 45 minutes and then I'll be forcefully introduced to Mr Desktop. Mr Desktop (normally running at 1680x1050) will be stuck in the game's resolution (1024x768) and can only be fixed by restarting the game or rebooting the system. Seems to happen more in some maps than others. WAR-Downtown (and with it the rest of the campaign) is pretty much unplayable for me. It crashed half a dozen times before I could beat the level.

    I had to trim some parts (CUSTOMCHAR, for instance) to stay under the 2000 character forum post limit.

    Plenty of sloppy code warnings in there besides the critical error, by the looks of it. Might want to patch that too.

    Check the Catalyst drivers, downgrade if you need to. For instance I'm using NVidia 163.44 which are older than recomended, but work great. The 169.01 are crap for my system.

    Some dudes with a Radeon 9600 solved their problems with that fix

    I have a Radeon X1650. I updated my drivers and haven't experienced any crashes yet! The game is actually starting to get fun.
