Need Help With Mp Custom Maps

I can get my maps to show up in a LAN game but i want to be able to play them online (LIVE) , can anyone help me do this please, i cant get them to show in the online LIVE player match, thanks.

make sure your files are in the published folder. also they don't show up in all of the mods it is only the last mode at the bottom of the screen it's like live player match or somthing like that.

also custom maps don't show up in the map cycle just press the button for map to the right and it should pop up.

Publishing:

your map should be here and you should open it up in the editor from here. also if you have a custum package it should also go here:

C:\Documents and Settings\<userID>\My Documents\My Games\Gears of War for Windows\WarGame\unPublished\CookedPC\Maps\CustomMa ps\

Make sure you create the Maps folder if you haven't already.

now open your map out of this folder and do a publish.

if you get no errors then launch the game and check if you can see the map in the verses mode.

if you can then your map will work.

now in this directory :

C:\Documents and Settings\<userID>\My Documents\My Games\Gears of War for Windows\WarGame\Published\CookedPC\Maps\CustomMaps \

your map should show up with an .ini file

if you want people to play test your map you need to have both of these files and 3 more too. if you go up 2 folders to CookedPC there will be 3 shader.upk files

zip all 5 files and make sure to put in an install doc to tell people where to put things

maps and ini here:

This is such BS because i always get the same damn error

why is there 2 backslashs between CoockedPC\\Maps

hey man try to move your maps and UPK's out of the folder. and delete to the custumMaps folder and recreate them. in both the unpublishd and the published.

looks like you have a folder with no name in between.


see if that works

Just don't delete your map while it is in there

nah, that wasn't the problem i needed to use the second publish

if i use the left one with the X on the photo it always gives me an error so the 2nd publish works fine for me
