Dark Video on Levels

The Shangrala level (in team deathmatch) the video is good. But when I try the other level the video is VERY dark. (Also CTF is dark also.)
You can't see anything beyond a couple feet. I know its not supposed to be like this....maybe a setting on my video card...?
