"Connection to the host was lost" on connect in LAN co-op (Hamachi)

Hi,

This pertains to anyone using Hamachi to play over VPN. When playing co-op over LAN, my friend sees the game I host in the LAN browser but upon connecting receives the error message "Connection to the host was lost". My friend also tried hosting but got the same results. Anyone also getting this error and know a workaround? Thanks.

Can you tell me what did you do to play via VPN.
I couldn't play GOW with my friends over Hamachi or leak, other games worked well....

hamachi does work, gow detects your regular connection rather than your hamachi connection. The host should disconnect his connection, with hamachi on, then host the game FIRST. And afterwards enable his connection again. The joining player has to do this too.

me and my friend have done this, we can see the game but we still get connection to host was lost

maybe this can help? if gow detects FIRST adapter only it could work. if someone gets it this way to work before me, please post. thx. I will try tomorrow...

as expected hamachi does not work (never did for me for some reason. total crap imo) will try to setup windows VPN, but somehow I dont give that much chances....
