    Default UE3 Running Capabilities.

My system is kind of old and will likely not run, certainly not well at all, the finished product (runs the demo but looks crummy/blurry. Performance is not even an issue) but I want to buy the PC version for the editor. I plan on picking up a PS3 so I can stick to mouse aiming while still enjoying the game and mods.

    System Specs:

    AMD Anthlon XP 2500+
    1.83 GHZ
    768 MB RAM
    ATI Radion 9800 Pro 128MB

My question is, will the editing program still run on my PC and allow me to mod even if the game doesn't run? I can port mods to my PS3 for test play, etc., I figure, and I'd like to figure so long as I'm not tryin' to run -the game- on my PC it'll work. Any thoughts? Keep in mind, upgrading my PC isn't an option I have at this point so none of those "Upgrade your 'puter duder!" comments please

    Thanks for your time.

i have a similar spec machine and although it runs the editor... i doesnt run it well, esp if you want to make anything like the stuff epics churning out, its going to be VERYYYY slow, esp in the later stages of your creations and lighting them.

I would highly recommend you get a new machine, take out a loan :P thats what im doing lol .. oh and get 2 monitors... seriously.... sorry i know its not what you want to hear... you can get away with it but its goin to be a pain in the ass.

always did hate PC upgrades and the fact they only last a few yrs at most
hopefully hardware upgrades will slow down now games are costing more and taking even longer to develop to meet the demands of "next gen"

That's what I was looking to hear. Thanks a lot man. As for upgrading, I think for only a couple hundred dollars (upgrade to a better GFX card and processor, found some nice cards in the $150 range and Processors in the $75-100 range) I will be able to smooth out my PC to run the editor in a more productive manner. I really just didn't want people to expect me to fully upgrade my PC to make the game run well. Anyway, thanks again.
