Allright, allright, this is the maps and mods forum not the feedback forum so let's not flame the poor... ...wait, what? Well. Allright. But if and when someone makes this I hope they include some options to make it interesting and not just a ut2004 mod (someone made a ut mod, so I imagine it'll happen again). And by that I mean have a slider to allow, say, an infinite number of dodges or jumps and how far each will take you. That might be kind of fun.

Already excists in 2k4, called multi-doding. allows you to make a walldodge after a walldodge-jump. And even add a jump if you want, for this you need even more practice than 2k4 standard movement, and it's great fun. The maps weren't really made for it but still![]()
So, seconded, if someone makes this mutator add a multi-dodge option to it!
This is not hard to do... There will probably be a mutator for it after a few days.

I kind of meant in mid air, not just off a surface. They'll include a quad jump mut, but I mean an adjustable setting. If someone brings back dodge jumping we might as well be able to really push it and go dodge>jump>five more jumps, maybe a dodge, and bam, you're on top of the torlan tower.

Yes we're such a minority that we're crowding the place. But seriously I've got no problems with some ut2k4 mode being developped for ut3. It might bring some interesting gameplay with it and from what I've gathered ut3 has gotten rid of the rubber boots feel on 2k4 so gameplay could be really smooth.
Fully support the idea. I'll make it myself if nobody else does. It'd probably be simple to code since the anti-gravity boots do something similar.
I would vote, however, to leave it as a simple 'Dodge jump only' mod and leave the other Movement and Weapon settings out of it unless they all can be toggled on\off. A 'Classic Gameplay' Mutator for those features would be fine later as a separate mutator, or even a 'Configure Everything!' mutator like Unreal Toolbox or TweakTool with presets for '99\'03\'04\UT3 would be great, but I think the dodge jump mutator should be just a dodge jump mutator with no strings attached.

bio dodge, rocket dodge, bio jump, shock jump, multiple shield jumps are all gone
only two jumps left are the rox jump and the hammer jump.Was to be expected, but still a pitty
Maybe you should just wait for the final release game instead of assuming things need to be done to it.
Epic could very well release a Dodge-Jump mut along with the usual Quad-Jump, Low-Grav, Big-Head, Vampire, etc. That is where DJ belongs anyway.
Low Grav is supposed to be in the final muts. Not sure about the others.
DPM isn't dead. And the team around LagMasterSam are going to create a new one for UT3.
And I think Shock, Flak, Bio, etc. -jumps are still working...

- Bio seems useless now for tricking.
- Avril, Flak primary, Flak Secondary, Shock Secondary, Rockets, and Impact Hammer tricks are all effective.
- I haven't really tested the Redeemer or Shock Combo for trick worthiness.
You didn't need a shieldgun for those jumps. The shield gun was rarely used in conjunction with other weapon tricks. The main exception being tricks that included shield gun + shock combo.
yes! bring back great ut2004 movement abilities! I was very disappointed when I tried to do them in ut3
I am trying to get this Mod to work on a Full Version Dedicated Server running on Windows XP here at home for testing purposes. So far i wasn´t able to bring this Mutator up on the Server for playing.
The Console shows me this line:
GConfig::Find has loaded file: ..\UTGame\Config\UTMutDodgeJump.ini
So i guess the Mutator at least is found and loaded, but somehow not activated.
I was wondering if i need to edit some other .ini to enable the Server to run with this mutator enabled.
I did put a ?Mutators=MutDodgeJump.MutDodgeJump into my Startcommand for the Server.

oops sorry, i think i posted in the wrong Thread then, what i meant, was i am not able to get this Mod done by Eliot to which you refer in your link, up to work on a dedicated Server.
