Ok, figured it out.
For all those that wanted to call me a liar, heres proof.

Now whats needed right now to make it work.
Apparrently epic left the debug version running, thats why I could run it on my main pc with debug kernel installed.
I did a clean x64 install and got the same error that everyone else did.
the fix is to go to the ms site at:

download the file http://msdl.microsoft.com/download/s...4_6.7.05.1.exe
And yes that works for intel as well.,
Install it.
run windbg you just installed.
open file, open executeable
Pick the unreal exe
now keep hitting f5 until you get the ut3 graphic, then just wait
Game should run

I didn't install service packs, .net or anything but just video drivers, sound, dx
I'll install sp2, but it should still work either way.

Well it appears to me, the x64 and Server 2003 issues took Epic by surprise, I don't know if that's because it was never compiled for them, or it was simply never tested on those platforms before release. Originally Posted by commiecat

lol same here, i would have downloaded the hack ages ago. All i want to do is play the game right now and get this over with with the modified error code. That AMD debugger doesn't install on Server 2003 (32bit)

I think there's some confusion. Arson's new fix (about to test myself) is to be applied to the demo after it's installed. Originally Posted by Vendetta

The (noted) problem with that fix is it only let you install -- you still couldn't play the game (UT3Demo.exe). Arson's fix is for the installed game and not the installation package. I think.

Arson's fix doesn't quite work for me. I'm posting the debug screen here to see if maybe he can make some sense of it. One thing that stood out to me was towards the bottom there is a line that begins like:

'Run as administrator' to get the install to work.
Then use the debugger to get the game going.
Hopefully this will mean that Epic can get to work on a fix?
Also, the game is AMAZING, it's so much more than I'd hoped for, and looks great even without all the extra shiny stuff, really looking forward to this game.

Okay, your fix kind of works, It gets the game running, but after the intro movies and the main menu comes up, the game crashes. Let me know if you would like to see a log.

Yeah, it's something else then. I just got back from uninstalling NOD32 and rebooting and I still error out. The debug line about the NOD32 protected file is gone but I still get the Modified executable code is not allowed. Originally Posted by martinblank
