    Ok so I running a dedicated to test now and hopefully all will go!

    Right off the bat I see 4 .ucl missing so I made my own for all 3 Crashsite maps and also for Bluff. Not sure what author name or screen shot to use in those .ucl so I use just that .ucl map name for the author and the foundry screenshot for those and I see in the dedicated load up console now all seems good to boot.

    I will join it now and play local but hopefully if its up others can join it!

    EDIT: Might have to add some .ini data for map vote on this and also map config but that should not be too hard!

    I was just about to suggest a weapons only mutator, then I found one included in this mod and played it for several hours. This is loads of fun for every classic Unreal fan out there. Good work.

    How did you convert the unr files into ut2?

    I would like to have all the deathmatch maps as well. Someone should convert them too. I could give it a try, but I'm clueless.

    This could be done with the entire Unreal Tournament game, hope that will come true some day.

    Well there been reported that 2 texture packages been missing: BluffFx.utx and Terraniux.utx: get them here.

    About converting the maps is a very complexive and slow progress, usually a bigger map (like NaliC) takes like 6 hours+ to convert.

    I played some more and I found some things that could be fixed in the Unreal Weapons mutator.

    The Eightball doesn't fire when it runs out of ammo as it is loading up rockets or grenades. The GES Bio Rifle does fire as it should when the sludge runs out.

    Weapon replacements should alter respawn of ammo and weapon like in Chaos UT2. Even spawns are for one type, odd spawns are for the other type. This might not be necessary, but it could be an improvement. Most players like to have all weapons at the same time.

    There is no Razor Jack available. A weapon should be replaced by this as well.

    Still a very good mod, can't stop till I finish it.

    Well I've looked a lot on these weapon bugs but did not have the time to fix those minor bugs, about razorjack it is replaced with ONSGrenadeLauncher (which is probably only available on DM-Hyperblast2).

    And I found a minor bug on coop mode, but had yet a huge impact on server hosting (made servername blank), so I had no choise than updating it then.
    I'm uploading again that main zip file with every missing content, so it should be available within a few hours again.
    For those who already downloaded it, I put a tiny patch download, which can be downloaded from here.
    But if you have not yet downloaded anything you can just download the normal zip file.

    You must be joking right???

    I would beat the crap out of you, but since I can't do it through my computer I will just have to stay with explaining the problem:

    The file is still corrupt and can't be opened with normal winzip, 7zip or winrar.

    Why this is happening to me? other people seem to already have tried it correctly!

    Works good just cant seem to get the map list working except for BeginUnreal map. And if no maplist then no way to have vote!

    Tried to configure the .ini but no success so if anyone can post how to get the maplist and vote for coop working then please do!

    7-zip file WAS corrupt, just redownload the zip version and problem is solved.

    Thx a lot mate this mod is one of the best and utcomp 1.6a does not werk with Unreal 1 game! ( If you put it on it has no effect )

    How can i unlock the first map? There are not any maps unlocked, and when i choose the gametype it goes straight to the configuration, so if theres a flyby before config then i suspect its my edited Entry.ut2 so can someone please upload the original Entry.ut2 if theres a flyby at the config? And i cant play because it cant select maps because it cant flyby.

    EDIT: Never mind, first map (UB-BeginUnreal) is suddenly unlocked. :S

    You should redo or upconvert the textures.
    I dont mind the bsp so much, but the textures are looking fugly.
    To be honest, terrain isnt too hard to do as well.

    I downloaded this mod yesterday and let me say thank you .:..: for all your hard work . I am really going to enjoy this. I did notice 1 thing that doesn't seem to be working right. It seems that it isn't working on the internet. I can launch a server and see it and get in and play accross the LAN, but it doesn't show a name, or allow u to get in over the net. Is there a setting i need to change, a firewall port i need to open, or is this just a bug?

    Wow this mod is slick, excellent job!!!

    It's nearly identical, now all we need is the Unreal hud and player models.

    How can people in this thread be so .... dense .... with 7zip???

    It is just another compression format. WinRAR will open it. If you are using WinZip you should switch to WinRAR, because winzip sucks.

    I tried uploading the whole thing to 'filefront' and twice was refused to add comments after the upload, so I may try to upload the smaller individual zipped content folders - as I may have better luck that way.
    That way if someone is only needing 1 corrupted folder they can get just that 1. :P

    This is an excellent port of Unreal. But I do have one complaint; player view height and speed. Compared to original Unreal I feel like a midget when playing this version, plus the running speed feels too fast. That's all of the negatives, everything else is top notch. And the fact I can use the weapons in other gametypes is great, especially in Invasion where we have U1 monsters.

    It is an excellent port, very faithfull, the few things that have been changed still feel at home with Unreal, so a big thumbs up from here!

    But it is a bit unfortunate that it works so poorly with Mutators, replaying Unreal is cool, but i could do that just as well by actually playing Unreal, or using Olskool with UT, the big reason to play it with UT2k4 would be playing it with some of the many great mods and mutators UT2k4 has, for instance, i'd love to play this with the Balistic Weapons mod, but that doesen't really work since U1toUT2k4 doesen't use 2k4 weapons (so no weapons are replaced), and mutators get disabled when a new map loads.


    Maybe someone could make some kind of mutator or alternate gametype for this that would let us use mods? that would be quite welcome!

    Actually, I think main reason for why weapons don't get replaced becouse this one does not use WeaponBase on maps, weapons pickups are only directly placed on ground. But it could be possible to make a simple mutator to replace those pickups aswell. And no, this mod does not Disable any mutators on mapchange.

    I'm trying to use the Rocket Launcher from Return to Na Pali in normal UT2, like Invasion.
    So far all weapons I've tried work, but the RL refuses to appear, instead I see the Doom version of the RL. I'm using WoRM to replace weapons.

    That might very well be the reason, yeah, sometimes its the oddest little things that will mess up code.

    But i have tested some more, and some mutators do get disabled durring map change, and some do not, it seems its mutators that alter the player class in some way that get disabled.

    I suspect U1toUT2k4 uses its own player pawn? or controller class? it probably does to disable double jumping and maybe some other small things, and this is causing some conflict with other mutators trying to mutate the player, resulting in them getting dumped on map change.

    If that is indeed true, then it can be fixed easilly, by just removing the new controller from the gametype, and making it into a mutator instead, then we could play it U1 style, or 2k4 style, or some other mutated style, that'd be a good solution i think.

    Actually it needs to have a new Controller and a new Pawn to fix some issues with Inventory Traveling, Musics and Martinee Intro sceenes. So what you need there is a mutator which re-enables UT2k4 player moves (apperently there arent made any for that, only some mutators to disable them).

    I put Anti-Portals right under the mirror and all around to prevent it from rendering stuff outside line of sight.

    Since I uploaded the zips for each directory it will also be easier for people to download with smaller file sizes, and only what they need in the case of corrupted files.

    Well! it appears the original Unreal1 game is more popular than one would think, as now there are three sites that I know of that are hosting your Mod files for download.

    The UTzone.de -> UT2004 -> Mod -> Unreal1 ->UT2004 site has decided to host them as well!

    And then there's Filefront: http://hosted.filefront.com/likemikes/2194809

    So if someone can't get them from one site they can check the other ones.

    I would suggest adding another batch command script to your download files in a zip format that people running XP can use to put your WinRar files back together, and save the script in unicode format as well - as some of my friends were having trouble running the BAT file on newer systems.
    Not sure about Vista!

    This is so confusing. The only good link from the above poster is a 7z files, I'm wondering if it'll be corrupted as well...

    EDIT: Well I downloaded one I could in multiple files (not the ones that end with 001, I have NO idea what to do of them). Didn't work, gametype doesn't show up.

    Downloading the 7z one now.

    DLed this from UTzone.de and installed it without any prob.
    The only complain is that its all static in the map. I mean the flames and
    the water f. e.. Probably i missed something or have to adjust some settings.
