Who is this mysterious guy?

Im not sure if anyone has ever seen this before. Or if anyone has ever mentioned it. But there is someone with the gamertag Marcus. At least 3 times a day i see this name join for a minute then is gone. And never plays a match. Just pops in and takes off without saying a word. And when i look at my list of recent players he is never there. Is this someone from epic or microsoft checking things out?

It is just the name that comes up when people are joining a player match. It is like saying someone is coming and it will say marcus until they acatually get in the room.

Had this same question fairly recently. The consensus was that before the game loads someone's Gamertag, it just says "Marcus."

Ya it is an unloaded gamertag. Sometimes lag causes it.

Now, I know it is an unloaded GT. However, just when the patch came out within the first couple of hours there was an actual guy named Marcus in the room. He stood at spawn with no weapon in his hand. When you killed him it said 'Your GT *insert weapon* Marcus'. Has this happened to anyone?

O, I think that is a glitch, people can do it so you can't file a complaint or a bad player review. they are free to do what they want...

I've seen that Marcus thing alot too. Always wondered what it was.

that IS completely different, that's the invisible gamer tag glitch and It does not show a GT name whatsoever. maybe After the lobby loads It automatically inserts marcus, but most of the time it's just blank.

Lol. I was being serious though. It happened in the hours after the patch.. and I have not seen it since.

If you are talking about that mysterious man named "Marcus" after the patch that would actually sit in the match for a decent amount of time (four matches in a row we had him enter our matches and sit in there for the entire match)

Then i believe what you are refering to was that Epic had people go into matches to moniter and make sure that the game was running correctly and to make sure that the glitches they intended on fixing were gone.
