Tactics for attacking groups. Post yours

There are times in gears where you just have to go it alone, you against a team of locust/cog. You have to ask yourself do you feel lucky? well do ya?
Or is it not down to luck at all there have been many times iv taken out whole teams without really thinking about it as i could pick them off one by one and laugh at thier demise. But since the patch obviously annex has arrived. This means those 4 people you could have picked off now stick together thanks to people actually having to stick together now. So what im basically asking is what tactics do you use to take out 4 people assuming you have no power weps and have no time to wait for the useless team mates in limbo waiting for rez.
I usally lancer them from mid range to weaken/ startle them. Then i switch to shotty and get my active (i always walk round with 3 shots fired so i can get active) charge towards the nearest cover and take out 1/2 run back to further cover and see if one 1 of 2 things happen.
1) the team will charge you over the loss of thier team which results in easy kills just fire your shotty blind while they approach then back of while firing shotty i can usally take both out but sometimes get killed.
2) they stay back but with full attention on you in this case i would throw a smoke in to mess them up a bit. Run up to them while using lancer, switching to shotty get active and blindfire by this time one should be down 1 of 2 things will happen again.
1) The most likely event will be that the locust/cog will continue attacking you which will be a basic 1 on 1 with you being ata disadvantage as your ammo at this point will be low meaning your shots will need to count.
2) He will revive the teammate for some reason..... i think the best thing to do is go behind them and 1 shot the guy who rezd and then whack the guy who was revived followed by a 1 shot. Hopefully youd have teammates with you by now so you dont have to fight any1else ^^.

I understand for most people this would seem completley unlikely but that is the point in this post i want people to post ways we can overcome being out numbered time and time again. discuss.

In non annex matches its simple because as you said you just pick them off but in annex matches just use your lancer because in annex mode its one of the most deadliest weapons i think. so just down them and don't run away just stand and fight i do. Or you could always just wait for an explosive power weapon like the boom. That being so powerful you only have to shoot somewhere near them and they all " Fall down go boom " lmao
