Exclamation The Most Effective Way to Restore the Roadie Run (Must Read!)

Sign this petition to restore the roadie run and have your voice heard! If we can get enough people to sign this petition Epic games will have no choice but to recognize that their consumers are extremely dissatisfied with their product update. This petition will demonstrate to Epic that we are organized and are taking this matter seriously and not just spamming the forums.

Thank you for your support and please post on this thread when you have signed.

When your done slurpin an gagging on it, take a second to wipe the brown off your nose.

All these people that say "I've never got stuck once" are blatently lying out of their asses. To not get stuck you would have to be a complete n00b that can't do a constant roadie run to various different weapons on different maps. I challenge anyone to do a constant run to the sniper on Canals or the Boomshot on Mausoleum etc. 10 times in a row without locking onto a wall or ****ing up the run. Something which was easily achievable with the old system.

on canals you dont need to constant roadie run just let go of A turn the corner and then hold A again. and fyi i truthfully havent got stuck once, and trust me, im always running to that sniper.

While I don't know if I could ever do it 10 times in a row (never could get it down THAT well), I know that I'm not lying when I say the new system doesn't cause me to catch cover on accident. I am able to make those perfect runs to power wepons post-patch with a similar success rate when compared to my pre-patch success rate. All it takes is some practice and learning to adjust your running line a small amount.

    I rest my case...

In that case you have to pretty much take a perfect line every time whereas before at least there was a bit of margin for error, and at the worst you would just stop running if you clipped something not attached yourself to it. I found the previous system much more intuitive once you got used to it, this new one isn't at all.

Well I certianly can't argue that the new system doesn't give you a smaller margin of error, but as far as people saying they get stuck on walls like near the spawn of Gridlock and such, I haven't ever had that problem. I know I don't end up like this anyway.

The people who don't have a problem with the roadie run now are probably the same people who used medium sensitivity and stopped at every turn, then pressed A to roadie run again. and they keep doing it so thats why it isn't different to them.

But there are those of us who actually realized that we can run around corners, instead of stopping at every damn turn like some of you, and get to stuff quicker. We are those people who got affected the most by the patch, and we'd like the old roadie run back. Guess what you...."stoppers", if it were changed back, you'd still be able to do the same thing.

    Okay...

    1. I use "High" sensitivity.
    2. When I say perfect run I mean an unbroken roadie run, none of that stopping crap.
    3. I still don't notice any real difference between pre-patch and post-patch roadie running.

That is my true gripe with the patch. I for one find it much harder post-patch to navigate tight corners than pre-patch. My question is that, as many people have stated, if there is little to no difference pre-patch to post-patch for some people, then why was the update required?

From the description of the change, it seems like a simple one line alteration in the code. If thats the case, could it simply be a setting in the Control Pad setup on whether to use the old Roadie Run or the new?

Who knows...but maybe it has something to do with the way I was roadie running before the patch that made it easy for me to adapt to the new system?

The more I read these threads, the more i realise that people are willing to settle for nonsense. NO WE SHOULDN'T HAVE TO ADAPT! I have been playin for six months and never once had a complain about the roadie run, now it's sad. And people are claiming they like it, jeeez I wish I have some of the stuff you guys are on.

i use high sensitivity, always have, and if you look on canals, roadie running round that one corner puts you on a wide arc around it while letting go of A while still turning you take the inside line, then you hold A, imo easier and faster way to do it.

Is there a 'trick' to not getting stuck under the new roadie system? I'm definitely not doing anything different to before, but where I used to be able to brush past perpendicular walls, I'm now getting stuck to them relatively frequently.

BTW, I'm the kind of player who hates not roadie running, and I always tried to catch the apexes of any corners I was taking.
