No ANNEX for me and my friends

Well.. we thought this mode was awesome. That is, until we found out that it does NOT go towards your Kill achievement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First and last time we'll ever play that game mode.
Damn you Epic. What the hell were you thinking. What's the point of making this mode if we can't even play it. Getting the kills ranked is the only reason we play this. Screw you guys!!

I play it for fun all the time in player matches with friends and I love the gametype. But, when I play ranked.. I play for achievements. That is the only point of playing ranked in this game.. no other reason.

lol... i have only a couple thousand more kills to get my seriously... but i stopped playing ranked like 3 weeks ago... i dont care much about the achievements anymore

yeah there is not reason to even make the option "ranked" for annex if you cant even get achievements. They arent my life, but they are the only reason i play ranked matches.

i wouldnt say wasted, cuz they actually worked for it. i wanna work for it to, but im also trying to get a decent education and building a career. im also trying to get some loving from my gf so i gotta take her out once or twice a week. i gotta stay social so gotta hang out with friends and family once or twice a week. i only get one or two nights if im lucky to play gears a week. you see what im getting at, not everyone can sit there and get 10,000 kills in less than 3 months

Without the achievements being a possibility that DRASTICALLY decreased the drive for someone to play a certain gametype. I mean if you had the choice of either playing one gametype and getting certain rewards or playing and getting no rewards its obvious what someone would choose. Yes we play for fun but with the achievement system it has given us something else to motivate us. So in reality achievements give us a reason on top of the original reason(having fun) to play. Achievements should be fun to get, it shouldn't restrict people from certain gametypes which is exactly what Annex is doing.

You mean to tell me many don't have all the achievements? By looking at my friends list, all of them just about have it or have it. I'm quite happy Annex doesn't allow you to unlock them. It means more for the achievement.

Funny thing is, I started playing on November 7th. I unlocked SERIOUSLY on February 7th. Three months to be exact. I know not many have time, but than play it as time goes on. Stop looking for a fast way out of it.

Wrong. It's a lot different.

1.) Team members stand around to make sure the enemy doesn't take over the base.

2.) Respawns mean it's a run and gun type of thing if not played correctly. I've averaged many more kills in a Annex match than I do in an Execution. Which by the way, I average 35 kills per 19 round matches on Execution. I score around 60+ Kills on Annex. That's with my team in the high 30's in kills too. Way different.

3.) What else is there to say? I just said anything important.

Not that I am taking sides on this issue , as I feel like I am on the fence.

It has been nice to play annex the last day or so and not hear "that's my down" from Jimmy the AR sniper (who is on the other side of the map) and then "you stole my kill" as you blow the guy away to prevent the revive at least 5 times in every match.

Kills can't count in Annex.. it wouldn't make sense.

Think about it... the weapons achievements require you to kill 100 enemy with that weapon (hard if you aren't boosting with friends... which is dumb because how is that achievement rewarding then? Those achievements are for you... lol.). But seriously is 10,000 kills with any weapon.

I was playing last night where a guy had 75+ kills in Annex.. I don't remember the specifics, but it wasn't a horribly long game, he had host shotty and got tons of kills.

Now getting kills is dead easy if you don't need a specific weapon kill. What made seriously hard is that 10,000 kills takes forever considering in the previous game modes you can only possibly kill 4 people per round.

In Annex if you can be killing 75+ as I stated above. That means if you were consistent with this (which I know is a bit much), you could have seriously after playing only 134 games.

Most of those will be shotty kills or pistol kills likely... That is way way easier than getting 100 torque bow kills!! It wouldn't make sense to do this.

Now you could argue that weapon achievements should work too.... but this also doesn't make sense. Taking the example above, if those 75 kills were one shot shotgun headshots (which a lot of them were.. but not all), he almost could have gotten the headshot achievement in one game!!

Couple this with the fact that you always know where the enemy is headed since they need to capture, a good team has one guy take the sniper and peg off people standing in that proverbial "barrel" while the other three rush in.

It would take no time at all to get the sniper, grenade tag, head shot, or pistol achievements... and lets not even get started on the boomshot with 4 people standing in a ring 'til it's captured :P

I like the way it is.... for now in Ranked I will stick to Warzone and Execution til I finish up the last couple of achievements I need and then I will most likely switch over to Annex.

Annex is refreshingly team based! I like the fact that no one complains in Annex about kill stealing!! I don't know how many times I've watched an enemy get up in Execution and take out the last two people on my team because the our guy standing beside the downed guy won't kill him, hoping that the other guy makes it there in time to get his kill. I understand the principle... but that doesn't make it any less stupid... it's a team based game.

Worse is when two of you are pelting the guy with Lancers and the other guy claims you stole his kill, but you were both riddling the guy with bullets.... how do you even know who downed him?? It was my down... but your kill.... team work... It's like Goals and Assists in sports... it's called winning. That kill you missed is only slowing you down to get "seriously" by like 10 seconds. It is not the end of the world.

You can actually work as a team instead of throwing a tantrum about someone stealing your kills before quitting and messing up everyone else's scores on the team.

Yes in Warzone... if it's the last guy on the other team... leave him to bleed out or give the kill to the guy that downed him... but for the love of god don't avoid killing downed people if there are people around to revive him!!!

And don't ***** when people save your team by killing the guy you downed!

There's no point in playing it in ranked matches, but then is there a point in playing Warzone when you've to 7 other people with no headsets who then quit randomnly after the first round? No. Get over it and paly the game just for the fact it's FUN. This gametype is very fun and boasts team work, just remove escalation from the map cycle and play with standard weapons, friendly fire on, one round 300+ points.
It's fun, even though you're not 'waisting' your time for some achievement, which actually has no further significance after you unlock it anyway, stop complaining about it, please.
At least it means I won't have people on my team blatantly weapon boosting, I can just tell when someones going for an achivement, i.e the one guy would only ever go for boomer (even if it Meant he'd kill me and himself when he picked it up), purely for the achievement.

What the hell are you talking about i totally agree with these guys why put a mode on ranked and not even get any thing from it. They should just let us have the kills. I only need seriously now and then i have them all and this brilliant new game type comes out which i love playing because its awsome but im still trying to get seriously so i think that only the people with all the achievements or the bums who don't bother with achievements will play!

I play games for fun not achievements. Achievements like (seriously) which has no time limit to achieve, so you can spend a lot of time playing the game in ranked and then boast about it. For me, playing with my friends and having fun is my achievements.
