Apophis is only an extra downloadable character from xbox live.Sorry my friend but he isn't playable or unlockable without the extra content
I don't have Xbox Live or the extra downloaded content but I can tell you he is the exact copy of Sobek.

He's a slower mid-range. Sobek's age slows him down, and Apophis' size does the same.
