Host Advantage...

I know nothin can be done about it but Host Advatage is way to much. I mean if you get active reload with ne weapon your pretty much invincable. If you think There is no Host advantage post your GT here, so i can show you.

Host advantage only affects those who don't know how to counter it.

I can't even count the amount of rooms Ive GONE INTO and killed the host, with just about every weapon there is. AND, its not that much of an advantage when there is no lag, take out lag, and the host advantage is minimal. I don't stay in rooms where I have to lead a shot 3 feet, or when I shoot someone, he explodes 2 seconds later. Lag is the worst thing, not host advantage.

nailed it on the head. i pay an extra 20 a month for my 6mb connection and i get killed quite often, even in shotgun battles. so ya, im paying to be beaten in a game...

and whats up with the poll?

When i host i still get killed, its the amount of skill and teamwork you put into the game that wims matches not host atvantage. If your whole team got killed by the host your team was not talking to eacher to devise a plan of attack rather than mindless shotgun battles.

your 6mb connection doesn't mean ANYTHING. your upload is all that matters and I guarantee yours isn't 6mb.

Also to OP, host advantage becomes more more noticable with more lag. If you get a good host with little to no lag, then host advantage shouldn't matter. Learn to deal with it, because its in everygame. Stop crying.

jesus...you guys are still whining about host advantage...get over it..someone HAS to be the host, until there are permanent servers set up its going to continue to be that way. Learn to play the game and the host wont even be able to touch you. Sure, when Im host I rape...but thats cause Im good. Its not that hard to get good at it.

Just play the game and be thankful that your not stuck playing something else that doesnt own as much as Gears of War.

retarded or not, there is nothing that can be done except set up dedicated servers. so if your a god like player and you host, then people just have to suck it up if they are gonna play with that person.

ANYONE who said ANYTHING but no is just crap at avoiding them...and they're not cheap, that's what people say about the chainsaw too, because it's a guaranteed kill. If you really think they're cheap, go on player matches and practice evading them...

the first half of your post didnt mean ANYTHING. the second half has already been said 10 times.

and a 1mb upload seems to be plenty fine.

Ummm... I'm pretty sure that everyone on here is aware that there is a host advantage. We don't need you to show us, and I'm pretty sure we don't this whole thread to let us know. Nice try; next time just think you topic through a little better.
