Old Bones and Raven down trouble

Hi,
Just wondering, do you need to download the update to be able to play the 2 new maps? I've heard nothing but negative stuff about so I didn't when I got the chance.

?? I play those maps since day one .. but yes, you need the update ... Don't believe forums though ... you will always hear the negative stuff only ...

lol, cheers. But I did see the effect of lag last night. I was on system link, too, and it was pretty bad. I'll load the update next time I go. Does the same apply for the theme you can download?

What you mean ? If the theme causes lag ?!?

I can tell you how to avoid lag : Play board games .. Serious .. don't forget, its an online game .. once you start to get headaches and think about the whole lag issue it ruines your fun .. I am almost sure about it .. You just have to compensate .. You know .. GoW has a very good netcode compared to games like Unreal Tournament where I always had to fight against peeps with a ping of 20-30 and I had 120 because of my connection. Playing against my friends from the US ? Impossible .. GoW ? Hell, we play every day (same connection) ... But again, up2u

No, no, I asked if you needed the update to be able to display the GoW map Pack one theme on your Dashboard.
I meant that I played a few games of system link last night, and I experienced a little bit of lag. Normally, this place I go does perfect S/L, and has no lag whatsoever, so it came as a bit of a culture shock, that's all. Particularly with the shotty.

Meh,depends on how you like your maps.

Raven Down is a tight,close map that usually ends up in close-range shotgun/melee battles. You'll be charging at each other and fighting within 5 seconds.
I think it has only frags.

Old Bones is a bit like War Machine in that it's very open and wide,but without the immediate sniper battle. It has Longshot/frags/Boomshot.
