    Default Map ideas?

This may have been done before, but post some cool ideas you might have for maps.

I was just thinking it would be cool to have a dark level with kryll. Some areas are lit up by fire, and some by lights, which could be shot out to leave your opponent as kryll food.

I think another cool thing would be to maybe have a neutral berserker wandering the map, that attacks the loudest and closest players. You can put a hammer of dawn on the map, or just avoid it while you fight your opponents and have no way of killing it. It'll be like the tyro train, only it doesn't need tracks.

I know neither of these would happen, but they both sound much more interesting to me than regular maps.

Oh, and a map of a moving train would be awesome. Maybe even two trains alongside each other that can be crossed somehow.

I got one better Parking Garage! You have 5 floors, everyone starts on the middle level, there are stairs up and down. The are holes to see down on every level and is different wepons on each level.

    Level 1: boomshot and grenades
    Level 2: hammerburst and longshot
    Level 3: magnum and grenades
Level 4: Torque bow and hammerburst
    Level 5: hammer or DAWN!

there are cars everywhere and many assortments debris. It would be like raven down but with tons of weapons. But the size of war machine, adn with more danger. you could get cover from the hammer but there are holes where it could through. This would be awesome! but pepole might not like it.

    I have one idea.

It's like Escalation but a whole lot steeper. Sort of set in a Parking Lot or a ruined building with at least 7-8 floors.
I'm sort of thinking of a staircase-style level with a decent-sized hub in the middle; one team starts at the very bottom and has to climb up the level very quickly. They get 2 Longshots at the bottom level. They will have very little cover to protect themselves from above.
The second team starts at the very top and gets 4 Boomshots. (1 for everyone in a 4v4) They will not get much cover either, but do have the height advantage. Moreso than in Escalation.
The idea is that the people on top have the height advantage to rein down Boomshot attacks upon the people below, while the team below have the sniper advantage to snipe anyone attempting to launch Boomshots.
To make it more interesting, after 1-1 and a half minutes neither team can access the very bottom or the very top of the level, signified by a cave-in. Anyone caught within those sections is crushed to death. (this will be an area to watch out for glitchers) In fact,as the level progresses, every minute another section of the level caves-in,until only the middle remains.
At this point, both teams will race up to the 'middle' of the level and compete for frags close to each side. I'd imagine most of the fighting will take place here.
Hopefully the 4 Boomshots vs. 2 Longshots will balance out, especially since they can't access them after 1-2 minutes to prevent ammo hogging.
Do you spare the Boomshot for the middle fight,or try to rein down havoc on the people below? With everyone having a Boomshot, you could emply a mixture of tactics. Likewise, with only 2 Longshots in a 4v4 immediately accessible, who gets them? Hopefully the good snipers....

Basically, the lower team will be aiming to get to the middle to avoid being Boomshotted from above, while the upper team attempts to use the height advantage early, all the while heading down to the middle.
Because the level begins to cave-in gradually from floor to floor, you can't lerk in one spot forever (unless it's the middle of the level) and you'll need to keep moving.

EDIT: Just realised this bares some similiarities with Waldo's idea, minus the assortment of weapons.

I had another idea for a map called "Flimsy Hammer". There's a hammer of dawn satellite thats malfunctioning, and every once in a while it will randomly go off in a different area or in a random player's vicinity.

I can't take credit for this because I heard someone else mention this idea, but I think it would be pretty cool. A level that was separated by a river or body of water, for example, that you could never physically "touch" the opponent. Therefore, no chainsaws, tagging, etc. It would just be a lot of sniper, boomshot, and grenade tossing. I think it would add a cool dynamic to the battle.

I love this idea, actually, and it's totally doable.

This would be a very interesting idea, but I could see one flaw.

People may find spots where they can't be sniped, boomshotted or fragged. Then if their team is losing, they can just camp there and 'draw' the match. As long as there are no such spots where people are safe from all long-range danger, this idea will work great.
Even if I do hate sniper camping....

It could have a drawbridge that goes down a minute before the time expires.

They need to make an underground cave level.

I would also like to see a level where both teams start in a room with all of the power weapons just sitting there. A boomshot, longshot, hammer and Torque Bow. One each.

Then there would be no mad dash to the weapons, and everyone on the team would get one right at the start.
