What do I have to change to allow me to host? Since the patch I'm not allowed to host.

What is your setup. Do you have a router or running straight through a cable modem?

If you have a router, just setup your 360 to have a manual IP address and put that address in the router's DMZ. That will do it for a lot of people. If that doesn't do it. Learn how to forward ports with your router by reading the manual or going to the manufacturer's website and forward UDP 88, UDP 3074, and TCP 3074.
Some say make sure that UPnP is enabled on your router also.

I have a Linksys as well. The DMZ solution always turns up with a "moderate" NAT setting for me, so I decided to port forward, and that did the trick.

    1) Access your routers administration page by typing your default gateway into the search bar using Internet Explorer or some other program. For most, this is 192.168.1.1

    2) You should see a password screen. The default password is usually "admin", but you'll have to figure this out yourself if you customized anything.

    3) Once you're into the main page, go to the "Applications and Gaming" tab. You should be in the "Port Range Forward" section, but if you aren't click it, as it should be under the Applications and Gaming tab.

    4) Once you're here, you'll need to forward the necessary ports (3074 UDP, 88 UDP, and 3074 TCP). I'll try to give you a rough demonstration of what it should look like.

Application Start End Protocol IP Address Enable
(Any Name) 3074 3074 UDP (Your IP) (Enable)
(Any Name) 88 88 UDP (Your IP) (Enable)
(Any Name) 3074 3074 TCP (Your IP) (Enable)

Summary: For the application name, put anything you want (I use something that I can notice as an Xbox Live port, such as Live1, Live2, etc). For your IP Address, simply put in the IP address of your computer that the 360 receives its connection from. For Enable, simply check the boxes to enable the flow of your customized ports. I realize this is a rough description...I apologize for that. If you need any more help or are confused simply post it here and I'll check back or PM me.

    Good luck.

As I said, use the IP of the computer the 360 is connected to. You're welcome.

Wow this thread give me a headache. I have the Host problem as well and I use a router modem. I really can't host since the latest patch, so, I, am assuming that one of the latest patch fix is causing it. Just reading trough all this thing is giving me the worse brain headache someone could ever have.. I mean, I start and go on Google to see what "NAT" means and in fact it seems to be something that can be "strict" for... ummm, a Xbox 360 or whatever. Me + Networking = NO.

I'd just like to be able to host games again...
