Questions (Possible spoilers)

Gears is undoubtedly my favorite game of all time but there's still things I can't help but question.

Where were the kryll in the beginning of Act 3? do they not like rain or something?

Why was there light coming down into the mine if it was still night time?

If kryll eat Locust, how can they live together? Do they only eat them while their out hunting?

Why was Marcus locked up in an abandoned prison? How could he survive if no one was there to make sure he got food? and since it was in Jacinto how did the Locust get there?

Anyone have any thoughts or theories on these?
