Who is your favorite character and why?

Personally I am Korean so i like the Lt. But my most favorite is Carmine the guy with the awsome helmet. Sucks they both had to die.

Carmine's my favorite as well. I was pretty disapointed when he died, he was just pretty cool to have along. If it wasn't for him, Marcus would be my favorite. The voice acting for him throughout the game was just top notch, in my opinion. Simply the way he said, "Uh huh" (as simple as that line was) in Act 1, after his question about the resonator was answered, made me know that I was going to enjoy the rest of his lines.

The Cole Train baby, his lines are funny and he is loud as hell sometimes in mp, I always pick him. It's just funny as he's like the most stereo typical black guy lineman possible THE TRAIN IS HOME ON THE RAILS

Have you noticed how most people with helmets like his seem cut out to either get injured or die I mean how many bodys that have his helmet have you seen around? The guy who looked like him that was with baird and cole ran away and got OWNED by a berserker and then you find the people from the helicopter who crashed in act 4 and guess what? Another carmaine lookalike is among the injured!

Yeah the the helicopter crash seems to have about 5 of helmet users, and magically only the ones without a helmet survive (except Kim) the scene...

My favourite is either Baird or Cole... I just love their lines.

Although I'm not Latino, I have always liked Dom. He's a loyal friend and husband, you can't beat that. He also has, what I feel, are the best deliveries of his lines. I like how subtle he says "Yeah right" after the Colonel says "We found a way to end this war."

Hm... Definitely a tough decision.

However, I'm going to have to go with Baird. He's the squad's resident asshole - which automatically makes him cool - wears goggles, has a sense of humor (albeit a very sarcastic one) and seems to be the smartest Gear.

baird is definitely a close second for my favorite gear. he's cynical and sarcastic like me.

I like Marcus the most cause he seems to know more about the world then he let's on. Also because of the fact that I can't even really tell if he cares about dying or not, which if not, could be the worst enemy to the locust. I beleive it was once quoted that "A man with no fear is the greastest foe of all.". Or maybe I just made that up or something, lol.

Also though I like Dom, he's honorable, respectable, and cares for his comrades and friends greatly, even enough to break his old buddy out of prison when others would have left him for dead. There's even a part in there where he mentions about one of the guys from Alpha squad, saying to a mutilated body that he hoped it wasn't this one guy cause his kid turned 2 last week... how heartbreaking...

As for the others, Cole seems a little too cavalier when dealing with Locust, as always there needs to be that one guy who just doesn't give a _____ but still. Anyways he's likeable just doesn't appeal to me.

Baird, although has funny jokes, is kinda the same way. Always cursing and being a general ____hole to everyone.

LT. kim, although rightoues and a good soldier,

dies kinda early to actually judge him as a likeable character.

And lastly Carmine... we've all heared how he died and about how he was just a red-shirt to be killed. I think why most people liked him was cause he was young... kinda stupid... well maybe that's not the word. Anyways I think people liked him cause he actually used his full armor unlike the others who preffered thier perherphial vision.

The reason I didn't really like him so much was that he was kinda like to hyped up about war... its a war, there is no glory, even with some race that's trying to kill everything, which at this point it seems that we are kinda the bad-guys, not them. There was a part, during the few short lines in which Carmine said "Wait, you're the Marcus Fenix, like from Aspho fields?" Marcus replies "Yeah." Then Carmine said "Awseome." And Marcus replied just the way I wanted him to... "Not Really."

Anyways it's a tie for me between Dom and Marcus. I would have chose what's her name, the operator cause finally, a woman in war, but once again she wasn't "really" there. Like us women in most games were regulated to giving info and helping the man as he dashes through destroyed cities battling some crazed enemy that wants to kill you...

Alright well all this typing is probably better used on my novel rather than what was supposed to be a simple reply but whatever.

No offense aria but that was a little long. if u wanted to say how u liked everybody you should have used like one sentence or so for each. and like you said if its for a novel, make it ungodly long,but only for the novel, because if im buying a book i want my moneys worth,but if im on the forums i like to read each postand the long ones are kind of annoying, sry if this is long ppl lol. thiswasnt meant to offend you. back to topic. baird is my favorite, because hes just badass and he was the first a.i. i saw to actually chainsaw a locust. it made me love him.

Well, I just wanted to put the reasons why I didn't choose certain people. I guess I just won't put in what I think, I was just trying to make some points and it didn't go too well. Whatever though, it's the way I write...
