Watched this dross again the other night, and it struck me that the Kryll (however you spell it flying things in GOW that like the dark), must be of been inspired by these monsters from Pitch balck as have the same attach methods, ie in the dark..

Good call M8 just thinking of the scene when the woman gets shredded by the smaller versions, I think your on to something here.

actually, in the EGM issue i posted about, they said that was the inspiration for the little creepy fliers, and one of the SP levels requires you to stay in the light, so as not to get shredded. so good call

yeah heard the same thing somplace else which is what made me think of it.

That's cool. I like Pitch Black and they do seem quite alike don't they?

I think Cliffy has cited Pitch Black as an influence for the game a few times.

Yeah, I know one of the levels where they have to push a flaming car to kep light and saftey around them is important, good catch.
