    Wink Gears Of War-BLOOD CONTROL

    Epic or anyone else:
The early clips of the chainsaw did not show blood squirting on the camera.I thought that was pretty cool to see.But now the blood squirts on the camera and block the view of the guts flying out of whoever your chainsawing.-A Blood Control option would be cool for those who don't want there view blocked by all the blood on the camera.

Agreed...it makes it difficult to see whats going on around you, and doesnt really make sense.

It doesent matter whats going around you because you wont be able to do anything, and if you choose to chainsaw someone then first of all your going to atract some sort of attention to youself second of all yes when you chainsaw someone the occasional blood splatter will occur , but lets be serious hear for a second who doesent want the blood to go all over its goes with the affect and imo its so awesome, i for one will chainsaw when ver posible or unless im trying to be stealth

I actually like it. Not for the added gore but for the fact that it adds another small dimension to the whole risk versus reward deal when using the chainsaw. You get a cool looking kill but your vision is slightly obscured for a moment or two.

I would love to have a blood slider or meter of some sorts. I can only take so much blood. I was able to play some Dead Rising for a while(Gameflyed it for this reason) until I got to the hardware scene and the hatchet man. If there is no option I will be still be playing Gears but I would like the option and maybe I could even let my son watch.

And now we are back to the *hopefully there is that option so younger people can watch or play*, dont mean to be an ass but this game is rated mature (18+), I am 16 but this is the kind of game I live for and I am only two years away frombeing 18.

I have been playing M games since I was 10 but only because my parents thought I was mature enough to handle, Hell I was playing Mortal Kombat when I was like 6 or 7.

I think if younger people want to play this game , there parents should trust them enough not to get a chainsaw in real life and kill someone , unless the younger kids are pansies and cant handle blood which is in ever homo-sapien by the way.

isnt it wrong for kids to see people being chainsawed to death with no blood coming out? kind of sends out the wrong message imo.

Well my son is eight. He is at that age were he understands that aliens and monsters that try to kill your "videogame character" are not friends of the in-game space marine looking soldiers. Not to mention it'snot real. But seriously, I know the game is M rated and from what I have seen it really pushes the envolope. I may be forced to have to play this game alone at night and my off days. I would still like to have the option and I'm 33. I'm surprised people still knock us who want "Choice" in the game and not the removal of the main theme of the game, just a choice to tone it down for my personal vewing needs.

i just think that the blood is the least of the worries in terms of censorship, i think chopped up body parts and general violence are worst than the blood. i think maybe like the camera panning away for a moment would be a better option. or maybe a one hit rifle butt kill or something.

In multiplayer Blood Control is going to be a very important factor-You really do need to see around you to plan your next move or catch a rival team making there move.I'm hoping you can turn off the splatter effect.

I'm not concerned about censorship just the fact that I can't see whats going on around me

Same here, I'm 13 and I totally LOVE the blood and gore. My sister has been playing Mortal Kombat since she was 5, and now shes playing Conker Live & Reloaded. Shes 9. I absolutely adore the blood and gore, it makes the game so realistic, immersive, and nice I think that the Gore and flying bodyparts are the things to worry about. Or maybe blowing a guys head off with a TorqueBow will be more horrible. Seriously, out of all the violence the blood is the LEAST thing which can put bad thing into peoples minds.

Well, my love for extreme untamed violence and flying body parts aside, I don't really care about not seeing. Its simple, chainsaw someone and get an instant kill and finishing move but be blinded for like 2 or 3 seconds, or curbstomp someone after shooting a entire magazine at them and making alot of noise.

I ain't Epic and will never be (most likely, since I suck with art) so this post will be worth mokey's poo, but I think they meant it to be like that. Like I already said, its a win or lose situation. Chainsaw and go red for 3 seconds or waste 30 seconds and 3 mag's on taking someone down. If you want gore, use a Boomshot, Sniper Rifle, Torque Bow, etc... All of these weapons give u more gore than a Chainsaw. Or maybe you can rifle butt the Locusts and hope for some brains

Yeah Germany banned Dead Rising altogether. They'll probably do the same thing with Gears.

first of all it only blocks your view or like a half a second, and second of all cliffy already said there will be a feature that lets u turn off some of the over the top gore

I really like how he gets up close and personal with it. He doesn't back away when the blood and guts spray in his face. I don't think it's in there but they should make it so that his face is red with blood right after you chainsaw someone!

Now that sounds like a kick @ss idea! I would much rather prefer his face soaked in blood than blood splatter blocking my camera view-cool idea
