it was a rounder gael, but wihch the pit in the middle had to be triggered by shooting buttons on the ground killing the player who falled

There should be a "Don't keep any of them" option.
If it really is that popular map makers would probably make it.
I enjoyed Morbius, I learned how to use the RL on it. Maybe a combination of both for 2K7; MorbiusGael.![]()

I'd rather see an official one because it'll more than likely look better than any custom job that would appear 2 hours after release otherwise (and will probably still appear anyway...) They all play about the same, so the visuals is the only deciding factor.

How about a map with both the Redemeer AND the pit?
This would never get played, but it would be funny if someone wnet for the 'deemer and the floor where the deemer is (I imagine it would be where the SS is in Gael) just drops and there person going for it dies.
Or they could have another area so there is still a SS above a bit.
Btw, SS=super shield for those who don't know. Also, I'm not sure whether it's a wild card in the middle, a DD or a SS.
I dislike both (or all 3 if counting fractal too), because there really isn't all that much there.

DM Morbias for UC2 is an awesome map, much better than the original.
DM Fractal owns both Morbias and Gael!
Maps with the Visual theme of Gael/Leviathan would look absolutely ****ing sweet now that they have realtime lighting, shaders and advanced particles!
I would have to pick DM-Morbias. It's one of the most unique maps ever made for the UT universe, it’s fun, fast paced, and allows for diverse play. It is also a good training map since it has low gravity and normal gravity, plus long and close range combat. So I wouldn't mind its official return too much, definitely not DM-Gael though, anyone could remake that map. It's also quite small and has limited game variation.

As a fan of the classic Unreal games, I must pick Morbias.
Nothing can beat some Eightball/Rocket fun from time to time.
I'm not a fan of either map, but if I can predict humanity, including one retail all-out spamfest map is the best way to reduce the total amount of all-out spamfest maps.
My real choice would be a new, but similar map, though. Or a combination of the two, as has been suggested.
In my opinion, neither of them. UT2004 has Gael, Morbias, and Training Day... three maps that probably took three hours total to create. Use that talent for better designs, I say. Let the community provide those, if needed.
Same thing applies to CTF-Joust.
I think Morbius, SpaceNoxx and Fractal should return, though I not often play such maps, and I'd not play these maps with playerlimit more than 4.

Just to set the record straight, DM-Morbias was an original map from Unreal1 not UT

Gael is pathetic... Morbias slightly less so. At least in Morbias there isn't a sniper rifle which completely owns the rocketlauncher (especially in a map as large and open as Gael)
Still, Fractal is better than Gael and Morbias combined... it would especially be so if the rocketlauncher got beefed up a bit while keeping the map scale the same as it was in UT.

i think the arena was a little bit more detailed with a few more pillars etc
IMO the most serious matches are those 1v1 GAel fightts.
In UT 99', instagib (1v1 or 3+ way arena) at Morbias was best, not sure how it would be in UT2007 but wouldn't hurt to give it t a try.

Morbias and Gael have both had significant history in the franchise.
DM-Morbias first appeared in Unreal, and was later re-designed for UnrealTournament, also featuring a redeemer in the center. In UT2003, they modified it, added a pit and lighting guns and renamed it "DM-Gael". It was included in UT2004 as well.
For Unreal Championship II, they remade Morbias, but added a jump-pad in the center, made the map somewhat larger in scale and also added a few gravity fields extending from the sides of the arenas, where health was available for the first time in the history of either of the maps.
I would've voted DM-Morbias, but I have aparantly voted BOTH already in the past.
