    Default Custom GameType Creation?

    Hello,

Is there a program or a way to create the U file for a custome gametype? I know umake does this but that is for ut2vote and I am not using that. I want to be able to click on the gametype from webadmin much like Deathmatch is a gametype.

    Thanks

Say what? umake is a compiler, I'm not understanding what you mean by "it's for ut2vote".

Someone please code OD (overdose) gametype.

Like BR, DM, DOM, and Mutatant all in one.

    2 goals-gold, and white
    2 balls-gold, and white
1 spawns at a time on a "ball base": several scttered in levels

Ball in corrisponding color goal (white ball in white goal)=6 points

Ball in oppisite color goal (white ball in gold goal)=6 points

Each player has oversdose meter.Holding the ball builds this meter up .

When full, and you score a goal: you get 199 health, full shield, UDamage, invisbility, and full adren.

The ball takes about 5 secs to respawn each time it scored.

Interceptions were done with the freeze pistol in UC2, so leave out or maybe think of something

Shred, don't hijack the thread, start your own (and this isn't even the right section of the forum for that question).

Personally, I use WOTGreal for all of my coding. But you could just use Notepad and umake if you wanted to.

Ga8or ... dude i messed around with the code of a 'GameInfo' in the unreal source scripts to make a crappy gametype. to make a good game type you need to start up the ladder a bit, like for instance if your gametype has a lot to deal with running around and shooting eachother only, then extend your class from the 'DeathMatch' Gametype, if its similar to capture the flag or bombing run extend your code from theirs, its not worth trying to re create everything... but i dont even know what this umake and GameMake3 and ut2vote is, maybe you could expound upon those for us... im totally lost.

my point is if you dont know programming to much, start small with mutators or weapon modifing, coincidentally Angel_Mapper has some great tutorials for learning that stuff. check out her site!

Then just start diving in to those other classes and modify them... just remember 'GameInfo GameRules TeamGame DeathMatch' those are Gametypes to look at!
UTModding.com - Dont ever look at this site, its got more unreal 3 tuts than your body has room for!

i repeat dont ever look at UTModding.com

UMake. Personally, I'd sooner use ucc make from the command prompt, but then I grew up with DOS.
